The Nupas People
Tens of thousands of years have passed.
This once vast island, which stood in the middle of the Outer Ring Sea, has shrunk considerably compared to its former size.
It appears that the rising sea level has submerged some of the lower-lying parts of the island.
But miraculously, this slight increase in water level turned what was originally a single, massive island into two large islands.
Therefore, this place should not be called Nupas Island, but rather the Nupas Twin Islands.
On the bow of the massive fleet, Apas frowned as he looked at the two islands before him, wondering why the sea level was rising.
If he were on land, he might be able to guess the reason based on his years of experience.
But this is at sea, and he doesn't yet possess that kind of all-knowing ability.
He sighed.
"I wonder how Nupas is doing here."
In fact, he had been worried ever since the fleet arrived at the island.
Because his Demonfolk fleet had crossed the ocean and was enormous.
If Nupas were still alive, he would surely have noticed such a commotion.
Moreover, although the appearance of Demonfolk has changed a lot from that of the original Morgan People, the banner and emblem of the Demon King Apas have remained unchanged, and his own appearance and physique have changed the least among the Demonfolk.
Nupas couldn't possibly not recognize him.
But now.
He had been here for a long time, and his people on board were sounding the ancient Morgan People horn.
But not a single resident of these two islands has emerged.
This made him worry that something might have happened to Nupas.
The surprises are over, but the unexpected is very likely to happen.
After pondering for a moment, he spoke to the people of his tribe around him.
"Does anyone remember?"
"Once, on our journey to the Dark Continent, we left Nupas and his companions here."
"Of course I remember, King Apas. One of my sons disembarked here with Nupas."
An extremely old Demonfolk spoke up with a sigh.
"Tens of thousands of years have passed, and we don't know what happened to them, whether they are still alive."
"I also remember that when we arrived on Nupas Island, it wasn't just as our outpost on the Continent of Radiance, but also as the seed of the Morgan People that we left behind."
Another older Demonfolk spoke up.
Given those circumstances, who knew if survival on the Dark Continent would be possible?
"However, I think they've most likely met with an accident."
What do you mean by that?
A Demonfolk asked.
"Now, we have returned to the World of Radiance, sounded the clarion call of the ancient times, but they have not appeared."
"What if they live somewhere far from the coastline?"
Some people have raised questions.
Even though Nupas Island has split into two, becoming the Nupas Twin Islands, its vast area is still extremely large in the Outer Ring Sea.
To put it simply, even the Wild Giant would need a whole day to circle the island.
Although it's called an island, it's actually more like a small piece of land.
If the Morgan People like Nupas were living deep inside the island, they might not have been able to find them.
Apas's expression softened upon hearing this.
He hesitated for a moment before speaking.
"This island can serve as an outpost for our expedition to our ancestral Ancestral Land, providing us with supplies, or as a retreat route."
"Alright, I'll take some people to the island to see what's going on."
"The rest of you will rest here for a month."
As he spoke.
Apas then led some powerful Demonfolk to the island.
They continued their journey; the Demonfolk were all powerful and moved very quickly.
A few days later.
They finally crossed the coastal jungle and reached the boundary between the plains and the jungle, where they climbed a small hill.
They climbed the high mountain and looked down upon the vast plains, where settlements dotted the landscape.
To Apas's disappointment, however, there was no trace of Apas in these settlements.
and.
The intelligent race living in these settlements, though similar in appearance and build to the former Morgan People, were short, less than half their height.
This greatly disappointed them.
"Where are Nupas and the others?"
"Were they wiped out by these small islanders?"
"It can't be that bad."
These islanders were short in stature and lacked any aura of law; how could they possibly be a match for the Morgan People like Nupas?
As Apas frowned and pondered, he saw a procession of people riding what looked like goats suddenly galloping towards him at the edge of the plain.
At the very front of that procession was an islander of similarly short stature riding a tall steed, with a huge horn on his back, shouting loudly to the settlements on the plains.
"The Felo People have invaded us again."
"The Royal Court has decreed that all tribes must send men to the ' Traitor Coast ' to defend against the Felo People."
On the hill.
Apas's eyes lit up when he saw the team and the horn.
"That's the horn of Nupas."
He spoke to a powerful Demonfolk beside him.
"Rodi, bring those people here. I need to ask them what's going on here."
"Yes, Lord Apas."
soon.
The islander who had just carried the huge horn was brought back and appeared before them in a panic. Looking at the terrifying, tall, and grotesque creatures before him, he asked tremblingly.
"Who are you, and why are you arresting me?"
"Don't you dare hurt me! I am a prince of the Nupas Royal Court, and our Royal Court has many ' Neng'en ' (a type of royal power). You may not be a match for us!"
The "Neng'en" he mentioned were actually some powerful individuals who possessed Transcendent abilities.
However, Apas paid no attention to his Royal Court, but instead pointed to the horns behind him and asked.
"I'll ask, you answer; otherwise, I'll tear your heart apart!"
The small islander trembled with fear and could only nod.
"Great Neng'en, please ask me anything, and I will answer to the best of my knowledge."
"My first question is, where did you get that horn on your back?"
"Horn?"
The islander glanced behind him and answered without hesitation.
"This is a precious relic left by our great ancestors, Remnant Horn, used by the Royal Court to unite the Nupas People from the entire Nupas Island since the time of King Tingtong."
"The Remnant Horn, the Nupas People?"
Upon hearing these two words, the Demonfolk were taken aback.
An unbelievable guess popped into their minds.
Apas frowned.
Who were your ancestors?
"Our ancestor was the ancient King of Nupas Island, the pioneer of Nupas."
"Nupas?!"
"Are you his descendants?"
The Demonfolk stared wide-eyed at the diminutive Nupas People before them.
"Of course, whether we are the Nupas People or the Felo People of the opposite island, both of us are descendants of the ancient King Nupas."
