"..."
Greg watched Wendy cast her Wind Magic, his eyes widening slightly beneath his mask.
He had thought Wendy was merely an administrator. Now, it seemed he had been wrong.
The Fifth Imperial Princess was far stronger than she let on.
"Princess...!"
Seeing Wendy kill the Crown Prince outright, several guards instinctively tightened their grips on their weapons and moved to step forward.
"Stand down!"
But the emperor abruptly raised his hand, stopping them.
His gaze swept over the two people beside Wendy.
The sword-wielding woman radiated such a fierce aura that he felt this young woman might be even stronger than Roland had been.
And although the masked man was not revealing any aura at the moment, the emperor suspected he was the mysterious figure who had just enveloped the entire Imperial Capital in magic and cleared Wendy's name.
Both of them were incredibly powerful, far beyond anything these ordinary guards could handle.
Besides, he did not think Wendy had done anything wrong.
Finn had colluded with an unknown faction and even attempted a military coup to seize the throne. He had crossed the line completely.
The emperor took a deep breath and looked at Wendy, his voice more solemn than ever:
"Wendy, let me ask you something. Would you be willing to return and continue serving as the Empire's Fifth Imperial Princess?"
Wendy froze slightly and did not answer right away.
The emperor continued, "If you are willing, I hope that one day you can become the Empire's first true Empress."
At those words, Greg's heart skipped a beat.
Empress? Wendy had a chance to become the Empire's Empress?
His gaze instantly grew fervent as he stared at Wendy, desperately hoping she would agree.
If Wendy became Empress, just imagine how much that would help his future plans!
