In theory, once Greg sat down in that chair, the five deans should have announced the topic of his Final Defense and let him begin presenting his arguments.
That was the standard procedure. At least, that was how it had worked in the original game.
What he had not expected was that, as time passed, the five deans would remain in their seats, studying him with all sorts of looks, without a single one taking the initiative to speak.
It made Greg feel like a criminal being interrogated, caught under five spotlights at once with nowhere to hide. He was starting to get a little unnerved.
He figured that if he was doomed either way, he might as well get it over with.
So he took a deep breath and asked, "May I ask the five deans what the topic of my Final Defense is?"
Greg's voice broke the silence in the conference room.
Only then did Isadora abruptly come to her senses, realizing that she had spent far too long staring at a student. She had really lost her composure.
She was about to say something to excuse her rudeness, but when she turned and saw the other four beside her, she suddenly felt that she had not lost her composure at all.
"Hey-you lot! Have you no shame, looking at a student like that?!"
At her shout, Moon Enchantress slowly withdrew her gaze, covered half her face with her fan, and chuckled.
"Hehe, indeed. A dragon of such an advanced age, looking at a student who's only nineteen or so like that. How shameless."
Aurora immediately took offense, a sharp glint flashing through her gilded dragon eyes.
"By Dragonfolk standards, I've only just reached adulthood. But what about you?"
A smile curled her lips as she struck back.
