"Boom!!!"
In the clearing, Victoria had already begun fighting the Phantom Stalker.
Before the enemy noticed her, she launched a probing attack. A Wind Blade whistled through the air, slicing straight toward the mass of gray mist.
However, the Wind Blade passed through the misty creature's body and struck the stone pillar behind them, leaving a deep crack. The Phantom Stalker remained completely unharmed, their shape not even changing.
"So even a sneak attack can't hurt them."
As Victoria considered this, the Phantom Stalker turned toward her and suddenly let out a low hum. An invisible wave of psychic energy spread outward like ripples.
Victoria's brow furrowed sharply. The impact had clearly hit her, but she quickly steadied her mind, gritted her teeth, and began moving rapidly to put some distance between them.
While dodging the intermittent psychic blasts from the Phantom Stalker, she rapidly analyzed the situation.
"Physical attacks don't work, and neither does elemental magic... So what exactly is their weakness?"
She recalled what Greg had just told her-this creature was a classic mechanics-based monster. She would have to discover their weakness by observing them in battle.
That meant there had to be some way to counter this state of theirs.
Victoria took a deep breath and changed her strategy.
Instead of rushing to attack, she began moving slowly around the Phantom Stalker, carefully watching every subtle change.
At the same time, she began launching small probing attacks.
To understand exactly how they avoided attacks, Victoria first conjured a fist-sized Fireball, then sent it slowly toward the Phantom Stalker, her eyes fixed firmly on them.
She then noticed that as the Fireball approached, the edges of the Phantom Stalker's body rippled slightly. Their entire body grew thinner than before, as though they had reduced their density to the
