Zeng Mu pricked up his ears and listened intently as Yetos spoke. "This assassination operation covers the entire Seven Kingdoms, and its targets are the foremost figures in each nation. They must be important enough that their deaths will set off upheaval that cannot be quelled. That is one of the basic requirements of this operation."
As he spoke, Yetos reached out and unrolled the chart on the table, revealing a simple map of the three great powers to all four of them.
"We are currently in Black Ink City, Trissa, in the eastern Holy Sword Territory. This is a frontier capital. Compared with Sand City and Morgaya City, the distance from here through the Three Great Territories' Convergence is much shorter. Under normal circumstances, it takes only a day and a night of travel to cover the hundred and sixty li."
"That is precisely why the Temple Master entrusted me with organizing such an important covert operation. We can move swiftly and discreetly. Unlike the regions farther west, there are no informants or spies here. With a single order, we can quickly cross the convergence into the territory of the Seven Kingdoms and launch our operations in each nation."
"Hmm, that sounds fairly good. Who is the first assassination target, then?" Zeng Mu asked.
"The Zhao State." Yetos pointed to the nearest small nation on the map. "The first territory we enter after crossing the convergence belongs to the Zhao State. Our first assassination target also ranks among the most important of the seven planned targets: Zhao Huai, the prince of the Zhao State."
"Oh? The prince of the Zhao State?" Zeng Mu looked thoughtful, then gave a satisfied smile.
"Don't celebrate yet, Nameless. Do you understand why I sought you out for such an important operation?" Yetos asked,
