From where he stood, Zeng Mu saw the chase begin, the two figures streaking along like meteors.
Reisado's speed was terrifying. Unfortunately, however fast he was, he was fleeing with another person in tow, so he naturally could not outpace the Prison Warden pursuing him alone. The warden's speed even exceeded the limits of his strength.
"Hmph, still trying to escape?! Stay right there!" the warden bellowed. Brown light formed in his palm, and the ground beneath him split with a roar. Rocks rose from the fissures and hurtled toward Reisado under his control. At the same time, he turned his wrist, and the elemental mark on his forehead fired a brown beam. Both attacks launched in an instant, leaving no time to guard against them or even react.
Reisado, however, paid little heed to these simple attacks. He swept one hand through an arc, forming shields of lightning behind him and beneath his feet to block the thunderous barrage of rocks and elemental energy.
"Go!" he shouted. A beam of purple lightning shot toward the Prison Warden, who was still pursuing him relentlessly.
The purple lightning was so fast that even the battle-hardened Prison Warden failed to react in time and took a direct hit.
Bang! Fortunately, the elemental barrier around him protected his body and absorbed the force of the attack. Otherwise, even an Elementalist would have suffered serious injuries, if not died, from taking that blow directly.
Seeing this, Reisado shouted, "I suggest you stop right here. Not settling the score for my imprisonment is already the greatest mercy I can offer you. Now I'm taking my comrade away. If you leave, all well and good. If you keep chasing us, I'll have no choice but to take your life."
"Hmph, empty threats!" the Prison Warden retorted
