The morning mist had yet to clear from the courtyard. The ground was slightly damp, carrying a hint of coolness beneath his feet.
He planted his feet, took a deep breath, raised his staff, and spoke.
The revised incantation left his lips, its syllables pared down by nearly a third, but every word carried an adjusted mental command.
He did not need to make the spatial passage permanent. He only needed to maintain it briefly, using his own magic power in place of a Spatial Crystal and Energy Crystals.
Working in tandem with the incantation and his intent, magic power surged rapidly out of his body. The air abruptly trembled.
A circular rift tore open before him, and at the same time, another circular opening appeared several meters away.
Its edges were steadier than last night, and its interior was no longer a churning turbulence. He could clearly see the other end-the corner of the courtyard wall several meters away.
He no longer needed to divide his attention between spatial teleportation and a magic array, allowing him to focus more fully.
After some fine-tuning, it had fully taken shape!
Lin Mo stared at the scene beyond the teleportation opening, his Adam's apple bobbing.
He lifted his right foot and cautiously stepped inside.
His foot appeared at the exit several meters away.
It was a strange sensation, as though he had stepped into a mirror.
Lin Mo steadied himself and boldly stepped all the way through.
Two steps.
He emerged from the exit, standing whole in the corner of the courtyard.
Looking back, he saw that the teleportation opening remained stable, but the magic power inside him was draining rapidly.
As he stopped supplying magic power, the teleportation opening immediately closed without a sound, vanishing completely and leaving no trace.
Silence.
