Discovery and verification

Before discovering Terra Continent, Lin Mo was unemployed, nearly penniless, and struggling to feed himself amid Blue Star’s worsening environmental catastrophe. He fell asleep in his rented room and awakened in Fendona’s bedchamber. While fleeing her Water Binding spell, he saw the World Tree, struck a gem-inlaid railing, and lost consciousness. Back on Blue Star, he found the gemstone he had bitten off still in his mouth 2 3 4.

He tested the crossing with a wrapped lighter in his mouth, a phone in his hand, and the gemstone in his pocket. Only the lighter accompanied him. Fendona’s Truth-Detecting Art supported his claim to be an otherworldly traveler, and his demonstration of the lighter earned her provisional trust 4.

After witnessing a Demon Clan attack, Lin Mo approached Great Xia’s military with the gemstone. Soldiers initially treated him as delusional, then feared the glowing stone was radioactive and restrained him. Its abnormal laboratory results prompted further investigation. A monitored crossing, during which he returned with a World Tree leaf, finally convinced Zhao Gang and the scientists 1 2 3 6 8.

Appointment to the New Hope Plan

Great Xia established the S-class New Hope project to pursue cooperation with Terra Continent. Lin Mo moved into the underground base, leaving his apartment with sentimental clothing and his computer hard drive 12.

Zhao Gang appointed him commander-in-chief and became his deputy, responsible for mobilizing national resources. Lin Mo’s priorities were to survive, obtain World Tree seeds through cooperation with the Elves, and gather intelligence—particularly on whether the Demon Clan could threaten Blue Star 13.

Technological aid and the defense of Lothia

Learning that Lothia could fall after only two more attacks, Lin Mo offered to seek help from his homeland. At the royal banquet, Elder Valerius demanded that Great Xia become an Elven vassal. Lin Mo rejected the demand and reminded the court that Great Xia’s assistance had helped save Lothia.
