Bai Yaoyao was a little confused. "Explain yourselves. Who are you?"
When the two heard that she didn't even remember who they were, they were filled with regret. Why had they run? If they'd just walked past normally, nothing would've happened!
When they realized yesterday that no one else from their team had come back, they knew something had gone wrong. Most likely, those people were never coming back. The two were incredibly glad they'd made the choice they had.
Did anyone really think they could take advantage of Dark Night without consequences? Why go looking for trouble?
So when they ran into Dark Night today, they were instantly scared out of their wits and tried to run on instinct...
"Yesterday... Yesterday, the people on our team wanted to pick up your Crystal Cores, but we didn't go with them... We ran before they made their move..."
After one of them stammered out the explanation, Bai Yaoyao finally remembered that she'd apparently killed a few people yesterday. If these two hadn't mentioned it, she would've practically forgotten the whole thing.
Killing those people had only taken a few minutes altogether. It had been far easier and quicker than killing zombies, so she really hadn't given it much thought.
They'd also happened to walk straight into the line of fire. She'd been in a bad mood at the time, upset about Great Sage getting hurt...
"You two want revenge?" Bai Yaoyao had no intention of killing them, but there was no harm in giving them a scare. She instantly brought her aura down on them, adding a slight touch of Mental Pressure.
The two found it difficult even to breathe, as though they couldn't get enough air.
