After Wang Jingyu left, Bai Yaoyao stopped by the Dark Night Store. On this trip, she had emptied an entire province's Supply Depot, leaving more supplies in her space than she could ever use.
If she didn't sell them, they would just sit there. Forget one store-she could open one in each of Huaguo's Ten Great Bases without a problem.
So she restocked first, then went to check on Dazhuang.
One look at his current state made her burst out laughing.
He was wrapped up like a mummy, with faint bloodstains seeping through the bandages. It looked surprisingly convincing.
"Captain Yaoyao... look at me..." Dazhuang complained pitifully.
Bai Yaoyao shot back, "Want someone to cut out your kidneys?"
Dazhuang's eyes widened in confusion. "Huh?"
Bai Yaoyao sighed softly and rephrased it. "Want to go back to sleeping tied up in the Stable, like you did with the Li Family?"
Dazhuang understood this time and hurriedly shook his head. "No, no! I want to sleep with Sister Jing and the baby!"
"Then pretend you're seriously injured for at least a month! Otherwise, someone will haul you away to sleep in a stable!" Bai Yaoyao threatened.
Just as Bai Yaoyao was about to leave, she suddenly remembered the marriage contract. She had meant to ask Dazhuang about it ages ago, but she had been away and hadn't had the chance.
"Murong Xixi?"
Bai Yaoyao blurted out the name, watching Dazhuang's expression while using her mental power to monitor his heartbeat and breathing.
Dazhuang's background was unclear, and he had lost his memory. Ask him anything about his past, and he knew nothing. Bai Yaoyao liked having everything under control rather than muddling along. Leaving things like this always nagged at her.
Dazhuang looked utterly bewildered. Chen Jing and Xue Yang did too.
