After Peiqi finished treating Xiao Shiliu, she came out to check on Da Yueyue and the others. Level 7 healing could cover an entire area, so the treatment went quickly.
Before long, everyone had fully recovered.
Bai Yaoyao asked, "How long will it take Xiao Shiliu to wake up?"
Peiqi sighed softly. "It won't be anytime soon. He was badly hurt. And that Boar Head-why did he have to hit him so hard?"
"If he didn't, the kid wouldn't learn his lesson. We'd already put on the act. If he spotted a flaw, all our trouble would've been for nothing!" Lulu lightly tapped Peiqi on the head, disagreeing with her.
Bai Yaoyao brought out twenty whole roast lambs and several cases of beer for the sixty people. The lambs weren't mutant beasts, but they were still a delicious pre-apocalypse treat. Better yet, there was beer to go with them.
Everyone ate with exceptional delight. This job had been fantastic. Not only had they made an impression on the Base Chief, but they'd also earned themselves a feast. No matter how they looked at it, they'd come out ahead.
The blood covering the ground dampened their appetites a little, but having anything to eat was good enough. What more could they ask for?
Once everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, Bai Yaoyao had them pack up and head back together.
Everyone in Dark Night was busy, with their own tasks to handle.
Training for the ability users was ongoing too, but even knowing Xiao Shiliu's injuries were under control, none of them wanted to leave.
Xiao Shiliu wasn't the youngest, but he was the most childish.
Everyone was worried about him, and Bai Yaoyao was no exception. She just hoped this wouldn't leave the kid completely numb.
