The Mutant Python was covered in blackish-brown scales, its eyes brimming with ferocity. Suddenly, those eyes bulged as though they might burst, and it bared its fangs as it rushed toward the group.
Despite its enormous size, the Mutant Python was remarkably agile and fast. Its massive body thrashed, smashing the ornamental rock formations and nearby walls. In the blink of an eye, it was upon them, a foul, bloody stench washing over their faces.
Bai Yaoyao stayed at the rear with Stone to cover the retreat. Testing the waters, she took out her suppressed Ryan Power .500, aimed at the Mutant Python's right eye, and fired twice in quick succession.
Blood instantly sprayed into the air. Bai Yaoyao looked down at the Ryan Power .500 in her hand with satisfaction. It certainly lived up to its reputation as the most powerful hunting gun.
She used Teleportation to put some distance between them, adjusted her position, and fired another two shots into its left eye. Thoroughly enraged, the Mutant Python thrashed wildly in every direction. Not only did it fail to hit anyone from Dark Night, it also injured quite a few of its own "allies."
Blood and all kinds of mutant snakes covered the ground. There wasn't even a clean spot left to plant a foot.
Once everyone had retreated to a safe distance, they began attacking with their abilities. Dark Night's twelve members, along with Doggie, Little Crook, and Big Meow, formed a semicircle around the giant python. Fortunately, the Turtle and Snake Hall was far enough from the open-range enclosure that they hadn't drawn any other large animals over.
Bai Yaoyao kept watching their surroundings as she moved. Apart from that nosy little monkey eating a banana in a tree, no other Mutant Beasts had approached.
