The museum was so big that walking through the whole place actually took longer than killing the zombies.
Tsk, tsk.
By the time they finished everything, the sun had set, so they hurried back toward the base.
The nights were freezing, probably forty or fifty degrees below zero. Even with everyone fully bundled up from head to toe, cold air still found its way through every gap in their clothes.
"Let's go! Back to home base!" Bai Yaoyao called, waving her little hand with a rather overdramatic flourish. She thought she looked a bit ridiculous herself, blushed, and quietly lowered her hand.
"Sister Yao, I just remembered something." Monkey ran over with a mischievous grin.
"What is it?" Bai Yaoyao asked, wondering what crazy idea Monkey had come up with this time.
"We passed a Parcel Distribution Center on our way here. It was freaking huge. Let's go collect all the packages and open them like mystery boxes when we get back!"
Bai Yaoyao paused, thought it over, and decided it could work. No one had really thought of collecting supplies from parcel depots yet. Everyone was mostly focusing on supermarkets.
"Sure, we'll take a look on the way back," Bai Yaoyao agreed.
Monkey's playful side took over. "When we get back, let's each pick a package and see who gets lucky!"
"I've never lost when it comes to luck!" Peiqi said, raising her hand.
Bai Yaoyao didn't dare say a word...
When they passed the parcel depot on their way back, Bai Yaoyao scanned it. There were roughly twenty or thirty zombies and a few mutant dogs. It wouldn't take too long, so she led the crew in.
She had assumed there wouldn't be many packages, just a few rooms' worth. She hadn't expected this Parcel Distribution Center
