Bai Yaoyao welcomed Li Pengliang and the Deep Night Squad to the Safe Zone, then continued managing the restaurant while Shi Nian worked. After failing to learn cooking on her own, she made a meal with Shi Nian’s help, but both found it awful, and she decided to go kill zombies for entertainment.
Shi Nian spent the week making desserts for Bai Yaoyao while Little Daodao urged him to focus on ending the apocalypse. When the main force arrived, Bai Yaoyao gathered its leaders and offered to train their people for a rapid campaign, leaving the story with Shi Nian agreeing to work alongside her.
Bai Yaoyao took command of the ability users, led them in clearing the city of zombies, and joined Shi Nian on a hike. They encountered the world's first level 7 zombie, which wielded both space and time abilities, and decided to capture it for training.
Bai Yaoyao put Little Seventh, a level 7 zombie with space and time abilities, to work testing the ability users at the Dark Night Restaurant. The training lasted several days, leaving Little Seventh miserable while the humans struggled to withstand its attacks.
Bai Yaoyao led newly trained Ability Users to the Great Emperor Base, where she defeated its Base Chief and left Li Pengliang to handle the aftermath. She then forced the group to fight a massive zombie horde and revealed her overwhelming strength, inspiring them to train harder.
Over two years, Bai Yaoyao’s harsh training and battles nearly wiped out the zombies, while Shi Nian built the Dark Night Base into a self-sufficient home. When Shi Nian became eligible to travel to the next world, Bai Yaoyao discovered she still owed almost 100,000 energy points and could not go home, but Shi Nian promised to get enough by the next day.
Bai Yaoyao and Shi Nian raised enough energy points to clear her debt, and the Dark Night Restaurant held its final day of business. After Bai Yaoyao unlocked the System Shop and bought supplies to take home, Shi Nian offered to spend his own points on anything else she needed, hinting that he planned to join her in her world.
Bai Yaoyao said goodbye to her companions in the Apocalypse world and prepared to return to her own time, though she could not bring back the people, beasts, or plants she had hoped to take. She left Shi Nian with a promise to meet again after his missions, then traveled back to find her friends waiting for her to wake.
After the final battle, the dead Ability Users revived, but Bai Yaoyao and Shi Nian remained unconscious while Dark Night's members kept vigil. Bai Yaoyao had awakened in the chaos of travel between parallel worlds, where Qian Duoduo told her the journey would take at least three months.
Bai Yaoyao regained consciousness after more than two years and explained to Dark Night how a system had sent her to a parallel apocalypse world to run a hotel and repay a debt. After reuniting with her friends and family, she sought quiet in the leader’s office and asked about other countries dumping zombies into their territorial waters.
Bai Yaoyao prepared to leave Huaguo with Dark Night and gave the leader new technology, fast-growing seeds, and potions to study. After returning to her space, she tried a System Shop pill meant to let Doggie speak, but Doggie could only bark, leaving Bai Yaoyao demanding a refund and compensation from Qian Duoduo.
Bai Yaoyao received extra compensation after Doggie’s speech problem was confirmed, then left Dark Night Base with her comrades to investigate neighboring countries. The chapter described how Dark Night Base remained stable and devoted to her during her two-year absence, and ended with the base thriving as a popular destination after her awakening.
Bai Yaoyao and the Dark Night group traveled across a recovering Huaguo toward S Province, planning to cross the sea to H Country. After releasing Big Whale into the Yellow Sea, Bai Yaoyao asked whether the Beasts should stay with them or seek new lives, and Stone said each beast should decide for itself.
Bai Yaoyao and Dark Night returned by sea to a zombie-infested coastline and quickly wiped out a huge horde. The group collected enough crystal cores to buy a weapon-enhancing potion, whose effect on Dada Juan’s Cloud-Rising Spear remained uncertain.
Dark Night discovered that H Country had been diverting zombies toward Huaguo and continued killing the zombies to earn energy points. They reached a large settlement where someone called out to them in Chinese, claiming to be from S Province.
Bai Yaoyao’s Dark Night team agreed to bring the Chinese Alliance and other Huaguo survivors home after clearing zombies across H Country. When they returned to the crowded gathering point, the survivors wept with relief at the promise of going home.
Bai Yaoyao defeated the H Country forces blocking the coastline and prepared to bring the stranded Huaguo people home. When three ships could carry only part of the crowd, she brought out Big Whale to transport everyone.
After bringing the survivors back to Huaguo, Bai Yaoyao asked the leader to give Dark Night flexible jobs and set out to travel the world with her comrades. The group spent the following year sightseeing, livestreaming, fighting zombies, and bringing Huaguo survivors home.
After the apocalypse ended, Huaguo mourned the fallen heroes, accepted Shi Nian’s return, and watched Dark Night finish clearing zombies around the world. Bai Yaoyao and her comrades settled into a peaceful retirement on Dark Night Island, while Qian Duoduo fretted over Bai Yaoyao’s unspent energy points.
Bai Yaoyao spent energy points on supplies and let her companions choose items from the System Shop. After Qian Duoduo left to look for new stock, Bai Qingqing called to say she had accepted Xie Shannan’s proposal, and Bai Yaoyao offered to bring Dark Night to the wedding.
After the Apocalypse, Xiaomi and Keke got engaged and married with Dark Night’s companions and Beasts in attendance. Bai Yaoyao returned to Dark Night Island after reconciling with her family, where she joyfully welcomed Shi Nian back; the author then reflected on the novel and thanked readers.
