As the palace burned and its defenders were slaughtered, Beast and the Xiang Prefecture Lei Zi continued their paid killing spree.

• The obese emperor dismissed reports of fighting outside the city and boasted to his lover about conquering the Dragon Kingdom and the West.
• Zhou Zheng and Yazi-masked soldiers seized the emperor in his bedchamber, beat him, and mocked his claim to be sovereign.
• Zhou Zheng revealed his identity and said the attack was revenge for wrongs against their ancestors, then ordered his men to beat the emperor again.

The Fourth War Zone and the Xiang Prefecture Lei Zi devastated Kou Island’s capital as Commander Sun forced the emperor to surrender. Sun left Kou Island’s fate conditional on its people obeying while the Dragon Kingdom prepared to face the Federation.

• Zhou Zheng watched reports of the Xiang Prefecture Lei Zi’s destruction and told the emperor that Kou Island’s past crimes could not be dismissed as the deeds of ancestors.
• Commander Sun arrived with Enoch’s corpse, prompting the emperor to beg for surrender and the killing to stop.
• Sun revealed that Dragon Kingdom forces had assassinated the commanders of Kou Island’s main armies and demanded that its military surrender and the island stop resisting.

Near death in the snow, Wang paid Lei Zi to deliver a warning, and Lei Zi and his two companions split up to carry it through while Nancy’s forces pursued them.

• Nancy instructed the Indian officers to retreat toward Holy Sword City while the Mahakala Legion hid in underground tunnels, then promised them three days of plunder in the Dragon Kingdom.
