At the Present World's Frontline, Ye Buyu was staring blankly at the sky.
"Lou Guanshan, do you think it got its wish?"
"Probably. I hope it won't have to suffer like this in its next life, and won't go hungry again."
Ma Zhuo came out holding a bowl and asked, "What are you looking at out here? Where's the kid?"
Lou Guanshan took a deep breath. "It went to the place it dreamed of. Uncle Ma, it said thank you."
Ma Zhuo didn't understand, but he didn't dwell on it either. He simply called everyone inside to eat. Food, of all things, must never be wasted.
Ye Buyu settled her emotions, sat down, and picked up her bowl. Before she could take a bite, a dramatically rising and falling cry suddenly rang out in her Mindscape.
"Good heavens! Ye Buyu, what have you done?!"
Ye Buyu's hand jerked. She closed her eyes, set down her bowl, and pressed her palms together, apologizing profusely to the others. "My stomach's upset. I need to step outside."
Once in her Mindscape, Ye Buyu hurriedly grabbed Little Whale, which was spinning around in agitation.
"What's gotten into you? Why did you suddenly start yelling for me?"
With a smack, Little Whale cupped Ye Buyu's face between its fins and examined her closely.
"Child, you... I... what's going on with you?!"
Speechless, Ye Buyu swatted its fins away. "That's what I wanted to ask you. You're acting like I've done something."
She grabbed Little Whale and interrogated it. "And who are you looking at through me?
