Kelin spun and severed the three foremost cables. The broken steel melted into molten iron on the ground.
Her second strike severed a wall sweeping sideways toward them. The wall, studded with five-meter steel spikes, flew apart and wedged into the surging steel plates around them.
Her third strike pierced the ground, cutting off the boiling steel mire. Immediately afterward, she leaped up, stepped onto a steel serpent pursuing the two, and brought her sword down on the densely writhing cables.
The instant the iron melted, Kelin used the momentum to flip dozens of meters away, scooped up Wan Lan and Slyder, then crouched slightly to gather strength, stamping a deep crater beneath her feet.
Her body straightened like an arrow released from its bow, shooting toward the dome sealed by layer upon layer of barriers.
