It was like sniffing a bottle of cheap perfume: it did nothing but torment her sense of smell.
She had no idea what exactly had happened, but clearly, something must have gone wrong.
She reached out, stretching desperately toward the light above like someone drowning in the deep sea, trying to grab hold of something. And just as she wished, she did indeed catch something.
"Good lord! Who's grabbing my ankle? Scared the life out of me!"
The Ferryman looked down and caught sight of white hair amid a sea of red Otherworldly Flowers.
His eyelid twitched. He had a bad feeling about this.
Ye Buyu clung to the side of the boat, combed the loose hair off her forehead with her fingers, and raised her head to look at the Ferryman.
"Don't shout."
The lingering sense of pressure made the Ferryman stiffen. For that brief instant, he felt as though those magnificent red eyes had sucked away his soul. It was as if he had glimpsed a Sea of Stars, only to be flung out again an instant later.
He shook his head, shaking off the strange sensation in his mind.
The next second, he screamed.
"What are you doing here?!"
Ye Buyu covered her ears.
"Good heavens, I'm going deaf."
She glanced at the Otherworldly Flowers beside her and had her answer. She was probably in the River of Forgetfulness now.
She climbed into the boat and patted her face.
"Sir, can you give me a quick rundown of what's happening? Why do I feel like something huge has happened?"
The Ferryman's eyes widened. "You don't know? Your teammates have already fought their way into [Eternal Frozen Silence]'s territory and started the fight early. The Present World's high-level combatants have already set off.
"The Sun Project has already
