[Madness] turned to look at the hole high above. Could another Calamity really be entering today?
Judging by what had just been said, they seemed to have something to do with this "Ye."
She abruptly raised a hand to grab Ye Buyu, only to see her startle into flight like a bird. A corner of the gallery shattered beneath her feet as she hurtled toward the heart in the sky.
"No one who enters the Night Realm gets to leave."
[Madness] took a step, then decided there was no need. She could not escape this world anyway, so sooner or later, she would belong to [Madness].
Calamities newly arrived here always refused to give up and tried to escape this place, but not one had succeeded.
So Ye Buyu's behavior was nothing out of the ordinary.
They were simply waiting to watch her make a fool of herself.
What they had not expected was an enormous whale charging straight through the opening overhead.
An excited voice came along with it.
"Where's the Hall Master? Quick, let me see her!"
Ye Buyu was racing upward and had yet to see her teammates when a green cannonball struck her, sending her flying back down from the sky and crashing into the ground.
It did not hurt, but she was utterly bewildered.
Inside the deep crater, she stared blankly at the girl on top of her. Pointed ears, green hair-she looked very much like the elves Ye Buyu had seen, but she was certain she had never met this Calamity.
Ye Buyu was rather confused.
"Who are you?"
No sooner had she spoken than the smiling girl's expression changed, and she began to sob.
Huge teardrops splashed onto Ye Buyu, frightening her into a fluster.
"Wait, don't cry! I have a bad memory.
