Ch. 461Yan Yan's Fear

Yan Yan endured a Calamity’s abuse before killing him with poison, then admitted he was afraid but had to survive and remember his civilization. Mu Bingge watched from hiding as Yan Yan walked away.

  • Zhan Tu recoiled from Little Wan and Little Whale, and Little Wan warned him not to attack Little Bug.
  • Lou Guanshan burrowed underground to seek the treasure, while Kou Ying planned to turn a giant tree into transportation.
  • Mu Bingge hid near a lake and saw several Calamities interrogating and beating Yan Yan for information.

  • Yan Yan told the dying Calamity that he hated himself, then confessed he was afraid and chose to keep living to remember his civilization.
  • Mu Bingge emerged from hiding as Yan Yan walked away.

Ch. 462Was everyone in the Present World a mutant?

Banyi traded information about the Primordial Beginning Tower for a chance to join the Lost Legion, while Wan Lan learned from Xiang Mingyang how other Civilizations endured Calamity Power. Wan Lan realized that the Present World’s common abilities were unusual compared with the rest of the universe.

  • Banyi revealed the upheaval at the Primordial Beginning Tower and the arrival of the End of the World, then asked One-Eyed Calamity for an Invitation Letter to the Lost Legion.
  • Su Wuwei watched Banyi negotiate and thought their use of the Primordial Beginning Tower as a bargaining chip was unwise.
  • Wan Lan encountered Xiang Mingyang, who recognized that Wan Lan’s earlier timid behavior had been an act.
  • Xiang Mingyang explained that many Civilizations had been displaced or left struggling, and that she had spent Contribution Points to shelter those rejected by the Primordial Beginning Tower.
  • Wan Lan learned that Calamities could not be turned back into humans and that only Eighth-Tier humans or Level Twelve Calamities could master Soul Power.
  • Wan Lan connected Xiang Mingyang’s account to the Present World’s unusual abilities and wondered whether everyone there was a mutant.

Ch. 463A Fight to the Death

Ye Buyu rejected Li Yong’s offer to join the Rift and become a Calamity, despite his overwhelming strength. After Li Yong severely wounded her, Ye Buyu’s strike knocked off his hat and unleashed painful memories in his mind, but he threw her through several trees, leaving her barely alive.

  • Li Yong introduced himself as the Rift’s public-facing leader and offered to help Ye Buyu develop her abilities if she joined.
  • Ye Buyu denied knowing [Gestation] and tried to escape, but Li Yong caught up and revealed that she could not overpower or evade him.
  • Li Yong insisted Ye Buyu had to join the Rift and become a Calamity, while Ye Buyu refused and attacked him.
  • Li Yong shattered Ye Buyu’s shoulder and severed her arm, but she struck at him and knocked off his hat, causing a flood of memories to overwhelm him.
  • Li Yong recovered, flung Ye Buyu through several giant trees, and left her badly injured and clinging to life with Life Breath.

Ch. 464It Actually Felt Kind of Good

Ye Buyu survived her Soul Self-Destruction as a disembodied soul and discovered that she could torment Li Yong, who had survived the blast but was badly wounded. Outside Dead Star, Suiyang confirmed Ye Buyu was alive, while Ye Buyu set out to find her teammates.

  • Ye Buyu detonated her body and soul, unleashing a blast that shocked Li Yong and everyone nearby.
  • Ye Buyu's soul rebuilt itself in a mysterious realm before a repulsive force pushed her back out as a ghost.
  • Ye Buyu taunted Li Yong, who could hear her but could not find her, and resolved to reach her teammates instead of confronting him.
  • Suiyang found Ye Buyu's Contract connection and confirmed she was alive, relieving Zhao Zhe, Ku Rong, and Little Whale.
  • Little Wan praised Suiyang for honoring his Contracts, and Suiyang angrily complained that Little Wan had sealed him away.

Ch. 465Hang Jiuwang's decision

Ye Buyu tried to warn Hang Jiuwang away from fighting Li Yong, a fourteenth-tier enemy, but Hang chose to face him to gather information and avoid leaving the danger to others. Their battle began with Hang badly outmatched, and he stood firm despite Ye Buyu’s warning.

  • Gou Xiangwang urged the others to enter Dead Star and tell Hold Up the Heavens that Ye Buyu was still alive, while Little Whale went ahead to watch over them.
  • Ku Rong told Little Wan and Suiyang that he feared the group had not brought enough people, then revealed that the Salvation Hall of Fame’s sixth seat was Wu Yan, director of the Bai Ze Division.
  • Ye Buyu searched the devastated area for her teammates and warned them not to attack the enemy recklessly.
  • Hang Jiuwang arrived and ignored Ye Buyu’s warning to flee when Li Yong appeared and attacked him.
  • Li Yong sent Hang flying, but Hang refused to retreat, deciding that fighting the injured fourteenth-tier opponent was an opportunity to learn more and protect future generations.

Ch. 466Gathering and retreat

Ye Buyu reunited with her allies after surviving Li Yong’s attack in soul form, while Hang Jiuwang fought the fourteenth-tier Rift leader. Xiang Mingyang rescued Hang Jiuwang as their companions covered the retreat, leaving Li Yong wounded and the group fleeing to safety.

  • Hang Jiuwang told Ye Buyu to record his fight with Li Yong and relay the information if he died.
  • Ye Buyu explained to Wan Lan, Su Wuwei, Zhao Zhe, and the others that she had survived Soul Self-Destruction in soul form and urged them to retreat underground with Lou Guanshan.
  • Xiang Mingyang charged Li Yong to rescue Hang Jiuwang, and their companions attacked Li Yong to cover their escape.
  • Li Yong broke free and destroyed the Golden Flame tree, but the attack wounded his hand before he found the area deserted.
  • As Xiang Mingyang fled with Hang Jiuwang, he told her Ye Buyu had wounded Li Yong before he arrived.

Ch. 467All Wrapped Up

Ye Buyu and her companions climbed the ancient stairs in search of the blade, but the stone hilt proved to be a decoy and a pillar trapped them inside a mysterious casket. After the casket spun and vanished, they emerged before a figure in a star-studded robe, and Ye Buyu realized they had returned to the past again.

  • Ye Buyu and the others reached a cavern beneath the Dead Star and climbed the towering stairway toward the blade’s platform.
  • Lou Guanshan pulled the stone hilt from the platform, but it broke and proved to be an ordinary rock.
  • Su Wuwei touched a nearby pillar and was pulled against it, and the pillar captured the rest of the group as stone walls closed around them.
  • Su Wuwei’s Sunfire helped the walls catch a falling slab, and the enclosure transformed into a Mysterious Casket that vanished as time froze in the cavern.
  • The casket stopped spinning and opened to reveal Ye Buyu and her companions before a figure in a star-studded robe, and Ye Buyu recognized that they had returned to the past.

Ch. 468The spear that pierced [Earthshaker]

The six traveled into the past and found [Earthshaker] fighting a fleet, where Ye Buyu’s spear struck the calamity and repeated an event from its memories. They protected a planet caught in the battle, and its people saw Kou Ying’s black lotus consume falling meteors.

  • The six explored the ancient universe and Lou Guanshan sensed [Earthshaker] nearby.
  • The group arrived at the battlefield and watched warships attack [Earthshaker].
  • Ye Buyu hurled her silver spear into [Earthshaker], recreating a scene the group had seen in its memories.
  • Mu Bingge spotted a planet in danger, so the six intervened to shield it from the battle’s shock waves.
  • Wan Lan diverted a crashing warship away from a city, and Kou Ying’s black lotus devoured meteors falling toward the planet.

Ch. 469The departing planet

Mu Bingge helped preserve a planet by sending it away from the battlefield, while Ye Buyu and the others considered searching for the roots of Calamity Power. After [Earthshaker] was destroyed, Dr. Oligar confronted the commanders over the conspiracy that had doomed Panshi Star, and a young commander from Cangyuan Star declared her innocent.

  • Mu Bingge left materials for the planet’s future generations and helped shield it as it fled the battlefield beneath the Golden Flame.
  • The members of Hold Up the Heavens sent the planet away, then watched [Earthshaker] fall to the warships and discussed finding the source of Calamity Power.
  • Survivors of the battle noticed mysterious figures and a weapon that had struck [Earthshaker], but dismissed their fears as the crisis quietly took root.
  • Dr. Oligar accused the commanders of allowing the planetary core to be sent to Panshi Star and of acting only when [Earthshaker] threatened their interests.
  • A young commander said Dr. Oligar was innocent and declared that Cangyuan Star would not take part in her trial.

Ch. 470The Doctor's Death

Oligar was sentenced to death by the rulers, and she took poison after warning them that their fear and ambition would bring humanity to ruin. The Six arrived too late to save her, while her guards begged the Cangyuan general for protection from an expected purge.

  • The rulers voted nine to one to execute Oligar, blaming her research for the giant crisis and refusing to heed her warnings.
  • Oligar drank water as the poison took effect, then collapsed after warning that the power could affect humans and that humanity might be destroyed.
  • A ruler silenced questions about Oligar’s warning, and the Cangyuan general arranged for her remains to be cremated with dignity.
  • The Six arrived outside the warship and, after Kou Ying used a Language Communicator, learned what had happened too late to save Oligar.
  • Oligar’s guard begged the Cangyuan general to save him and the other guards from a likely purge, while the general recognized that he had no authority to intervene.

Ch. 471Water Mirror Star

The Six discovered that Water Mirror Star had vanished and realized the allied forces might also be under attack by Calamity Power. They reached a massacre too late to save the jailer’s family, and Ye Buyu kicked a fleeing person to death as the survivors begged the Six for help.

  • A soldier told the generals that Water Mirror Star had disappeared, and Mu Bingge opened a water mirror to investigate.
  • Mu Bingge realized the central allied forces could also have been invaded by Calamity Power, which remained after [Earthshaker] died.
  • The jailer learned that his wife and child had been killed and transformed into a Calamity, slaughtering the people around him.
  • The Six arrived through a water mirror and found the jailer amid the corpses as survivors pleaded for protection.
  • Ye Buyu kicked one of the survivors through several walls, killing them and leaving everyone in stunned silence.

Ch. 472The mutation began

Ye Buyu and the Six left the Warden to take revenge on the people who had created him, while a mutation outbreak ravaged the warship. Ye Buyu discovered that her bullets could stop the mutation, leaving the Broken-Brow General and his soldiers stunned by the Six’s arrival.

  • Ye Buyu rejected a man's offer of money and power, then shot him dead after asking whether he could undo the deaths and suffering caused by the disaster.
  • The Cangyuan Star General abandoned the people begging for help, and the Six left as the Warden began killing those who tried to escape.
  • As mutations spread across the warship, soldiers restrained a transforming comrade, and the Broken-Brow General ordered the Drug Analysts to investigate the outbreak.
  • When the bound soldier begged to be shot, an old soldier fired at him, but the bullet stopped his mutation and left him alive.
  • The Broken-Brow General recognized the Six as Ye Buyu fired another bullet, and the soldiers aimed their guns at them before the bound soldier's embarrassed moan broke the standoff.

Ch. 473Cangyuan Star's invitation

The Six used Ye Buyu’s Light Wheel to stop the Calamity outbreak among Cangyuan Star’s soldiers, then explained the danger of Calamity Power to General Zhu Yin. Zhu Yin invited them to Cangyuan Star to help prepare for the wider crisis, and the Six considered accepting.

  • Ye Buyu created an enormous Light Wheel that restored the mutated soldiers and dissolved the Calamity and the guard who had become a Man-Made Calamity.
  • Lou Guanshan introduced the Six as Hold Up the Heavens and warned the soldiers to leave because the emanations could affect humans again.
  • Ye Buyu and Lou Guanshan explained Calamity Power to General Zhu Yin and asked him to establish a new order and prepare countermeasures.
  • Zhu Yin invited the Six to Cangyuan Star to teach them how to respond to the crisis, arguing that his people needed a chance to survive.
  • The Six discussed the invitation in their native language, and Ye Buyu suggested going to Cangyuan Star to investigate and help them prepare.

Ch. 474God-Feigning Plan

The six decided to pretend to be gods and choose proxies to help civilizations awaken and resist Calamity, though Zhu Yin and his soldiers mistook them for real gods. The six vanished after giving Zhu Yin materials to study, leaving him with the means to begin passing on the Path of Awakening.

  • Mu Bingge, Lou Guanshan, Su Wuwei, Wan Lan, Ye Buyu, and Kou Ying agreed that they could not contain Calamity alone and needed to teach others how to fight it.
  • Ye Buyu proposed the God-Feigning Plan, and all six voted to impersonate gods, choose proxies, and help planets enter the age of awakening.
  • The six told Zhu Yin they would not go to Cangyuan Star but would give him methods for fighting disasters.
  • Ye Buyu transmitted awakening and training knowledge to Zhu Yin, but he could not understand it because he did not recognize the writing.
  • Kou Ying gave Zhu Yin a translator and a dictionary, urging him to master the knowledge so his civilization could preserve it.
  • The six disappeared, and Zhu Yin's soldiers called them gods as they gazed at the Light Wheel that had cleansed the mutation aura.

Ch. 475The root of calamity

The Six discovered that the universe’s unstable energy and human destruction were driving calamities, and a dying planetary consciousness entrusted its remains to them as a blade. After witnessing the blade’s origin, they returned to the stone platform and tried to figure out what their next step was and how to get home.

  • Zhu Yin withdrew from the dangerous area with the warships while Ye Buyu and the others waited for their teammates to return.
  • Kou Ying shared Dr. Oligar’s research materials, and the Six reflected on how the creators of the man-made calamity had caused their own deaths.
  • The Six cleared Calamity Power from one area, then traveled to a dead planet and found its surviving planetary consciousness.
  • The planetary consciousness explained that the universe’s energy imbalance was causing its expansion and approaching collapse, and it urged the Six to absorb the swelling power and carry its remains with them.
  • The dying planetary consciousness used its last strength to forge a blade from its remains, and the Six witnessed the blade’s origin before returning to the stone platform.
  • The Six considered why the dead planet appeared in the [Life] Divine Miracle, whether Lou Guanshan could become a god, and how they could return to their own time.

Ch. 476The upheaval on Water Mirror Star

Hold Up the Heavens found the black box that could take them home, but chose to delay returning while they prepared. When they visited Water Mirror Star, they found the planet in ruins after Calamities and newly empowered Awakened had destroyed its society.

  • The black box emerged from Ye Buyu’s robe, confirming that the group could return home whenever they chose, but Hold Up the Heavens decided to wait until they were ready to face the Calamities.
  • The six concealed the Dead Star, traveled to Cangyuan Star, and gave Zhu Yin materials and advice as he reported Calamity readings and turmoil on Water Mirror Star.
  • The group went to Water Mirror Star and discovered that Calamity Power had empowered mutants who sacrificed ordinary people and overturned society.
  • Water Mirror Star’s land sank beneath catastrophic floods and collapsing oceans, while people fled aboard warships and countless others perished.
  • A blue-haired girl watched the departing ships in fury, while a consul remembered approving reduced spacecraft investment and stronger measures against mutants.

Ch. 477The birth of [Abyssal Erosion]

Abyssal Erosion was born when the blue-haired girl sacrificed herself to save Water Mirror Star’s last survivors. It turned on the fleeing warships, and Wan Lan challenged their leader’s pleas for mercy.

  • The blue-haired girl entered Water Mirror Star’s core and asked the planet to shelter the last seeds of its civilization.
  • Water Mirror Star died, and Abyssal Erosion emerged as streams of water carried the surviving people away.
  • The fleeing warships’ passengers panicked as Abyssal Erosion attacked them with towering waves.
  • The consul appealed to Abyssal Erosion to spare them because the ships carried Water Mirror Star’s historical records.
  • Wan Lan confronted the consul, asking what the innocent dead had done wrong and declaring that the betrayers deserved to die.

Ch. 478Hold Up the Heavens' choice

The Hold Up the Heavens witnessed Water Mirror Star’s history and learned that [Abyssal Erosion] had arisen from Mu Bingge’s power. As [Abyssal Erosion] asked them to end its existence, Ye Buyu proposed separating it from Water Mirror Star’s Consciousness Entity instead.

  • Kou Ying took Water Mirror Star’s history from the ships as Su Wuwei judged the passengers, and the waves destroyed the ships and everyone aboard.
  • [Abyssal Erosion] shared its memories with the Hold Up the Heavens and explained that its continued existence would spread Calamity Power toward Cangyuan Star and the Star Domain.
  • [Abyssal Erosion] asked the group to end its existence so other stars would not suffer Water Mirror Star’s fate.
  • Wan Lan said they might have to destroy [Abyssal Erosion], while the others considered whether they could seal or otherwise spare it.
  • Ye Buyu proposed separating [Abyssal Erosion] from Water Mirror Star’s Consciousness Entity, though she did not yet know whether the plan was possible.

Ch. 479Water Mirror Heart Tide

Ye Buyu and Mu Bingge separated [Abyssal Erosion] from Water Mirror Star’s consciousness, creating a new being from the merged consciousnesses of Water Mirror Star and Heart Tide. After the being woke, Ye Buyu invited her to help save civilization, while the group considered returning home.

  • Ye Buyu used Thousand Tides Tracing the Moon to restore Water Mirror Star’s consciousness as Mu Bingge absorbed [Abyssal Erosion]’s power.
  • Heart Tide and Water Mirror Star’s consciousnesses converged with countless others, forming a new being who fell asleep.
  • Wan Lan directed the cosmic windstorm, and the group worried that [Tempest Fiend] might appear next.
  • Half a month later, the new being woke and heard the group discuss [Abyssal Erosion], the unknown force behind their arrival, and returning home.
  • Ye Buyu invited Water Mirror to help save the world and told her to contact General Zhu Yin on Cangyuan Star if she needed assistance.

Ch. 480A big move coming up

Ye Buyu and the others returned from the past to find that time on the Dead Star had stopped while they were away, leaving their enemies and a tier-ten expert still nearby. With the enemy they could not defeat still present, Hold Up the Heavens prepared for a major move and asked Zhao Zhe what backup the Salvation Hall of Fame had.

  • The Black Box sent Ye Buyu and her companions through the Void and back to their original point in time, then disappeared into Ye Buyu's soul.
  • Mu Bingge noticed that her mark still held fresh power and theorized that time on the Dead Star had stopped during their absence.
  • Kou Ying asked Zhao Zhe for an update and learned that Li Yong was on the Dead Star, a tier-ten Primordial Beginning Tower expert was watching, and the other factions were holding back.
  • Ye Buyu concluded that Hold Up the Heavens might need to make a major move and asked Zhao Zhe about the Salvation Hall of Fame's plans and reinforcements.
  • Zhao Zhe's companions feared the coming battle was beyond their level as they considered the powerful forces gathered on the Dead Star.
