At level six, one could utterly crush someone at level four. There was a two-level gap.
In the early stages, a level-one fighter still had a slight chance of defeating someone at level three. Someone like Xia Haoran, for instance, could beat a flashy amateur with little combat experience.
As far as Chen Luo knew, only Space ability users could beat a level-six opponent at level four. Nobody else could manage it.
One reason Chen Luo could easily fight above his level was that Void Blade ignored defenses. More importantly, he had mastered the divine skill Void Walk.
