The Lizardfolk watched Chen Luo's group in bewilderment and suspicion. There were so many of them, and they were nothing like those weak little Meow-Meows.
Their leader, the most powerfully built Lizardfolk among them, said something politely.
It was like playing music for a dog. They couldn't understand a word.
Chen Luo stepped forward, about to have Meng Yin communicate with them. She wasn't the only one who knew Mind Communication, but she was the little underling he found most convenient to use.
To his surprise, the Lizardfolk used Mind Communication first.
"Hello. This is one of the planets in Lord Kanmas's territory. All the Meow-Meows here are livestock belonging to Lord Kanmas."
"Where did you come from? We've never seen you before. This isn't somewhere you should be. Lord Kanmas is a great demigod."
Had demigods, who barely ever emerged even on an entire planet, become a dime a dozen?
Still, it wasn't strange for someone who owned entire planets to be powerful.
Or perhaps he'd simply been unlucky.
After some conversation, Chen Luo understood that this planet was specifically used to breed Catfolk.
All the Catfolk's natural predators had been eliminated, and vast quantities of food had been supplied so they could reproduce without any predators.
Whether sold for food or as pets, Catfolk fetched a good price.
Most were sold for food, though, because their meat was delicious and considered a premium ingredient.
The Lizardfolk were essentially cat farmers. They let the Catfolk reproduce on their own and only patrolled the farm, fighting off any bandits who invaded.
With a demigod backing them, no one was foolish enough to cause trouble.
There were tens of thousands of Catfolk on the planet. At their peak, there had been over a million, but too many had been slaughtered previously,
