Arc 31The Heavenly Gate Opens
Ren Ye fought the clans and sects pursuing him while trying to protect his companions, and Xing Wu’s inheritance brought a battle to Lin County. The arc ended with Xing Wu ascending through a Heavenly Gate, Ren Ye preparing for the Emperor’s Tomb, and questions lingering about Old Liu and the Demoness.
- Ren Ye killed Situ Ye, escaped the siege at Western Liang, and began refining the Boundary-Space Stone before King Qin Guang drove off the attackers.
- Ren Ye captured the Three Golden Flowers and other prodigies, while Xing Wu entered Xingshan, inherited the Peachwood Blade, and killed the Immortal Wave Sect’s nine Fifth Grades.
- Ren Ye lured Chu Jin to Western Liang, but Chu Jin warned him that their enemies were using them and revealed that Xing Wu and Little One had been taken into Xingshan.
- Ren Ye brought the gravely afflicted Xing Wu home to Chunniang, then King Qin Guang raised a formation around Lin County as Western Liang’s forces attacked.
- Ren Qingning and Li Yan arrived to help Ren Ye, and Li Yan killed Western Liang cultivators as the King of Hell’s formation came under pressure from fifteen Sixth Grade rulers.
- Ren Ye used the Human Emperor Seal and his Destiny to help Xing Wu open a Heavenly Gate, which blocked the rulers’ advance and carried Xing Wu away with a strand of immortal light for Xing Qian.
- Ren Ye and his allies defeated Western Liang’s remaining Fifth Grades, while the sect masters arrived too late and found twelve corpses outside the city.
- Ren Ye connected Old Liu’s headless condition to the Great Emperor’s legend, considered the Demoness’s ties to the Yang Family, and demanded to know why she wanted Chu Jin dead.
