• At Gao Mingyue’s wedding, Ren Ye realized his assumptions about Yin Wan’er’s imprisonment were wrong, while Master Gao married Old Liu to a paper effigy and prepared to transfer his life force to Ming Yue.
• Old Liu relived Shen Yuan and Gao Mingyue’s past, learning how their love and Guo Ying’s attack led to Gao Mingyue’s death, while Ren Ye’s group escaped the Gao Residence and found a hidden route between villages.
• Ren Ye uncovered that Gao Jiansheng had kidnapped Yin Wan’er and framed Zhou Bo, while Shen Yuan’s disfigurement and affair with Gao Mingyue had helped cause the Bloody Night.

Ren Ye traced the plague ravaging Qingliang Prefecture to a scheme involving Guanfeng Young Master and Immortality Mountain, then entered the evolved Star Gate to investigate. The story left him on the mountain with the Six Gentlemen as Wu Yuanjun prepared for conflict with the White Python Tribe.

• Ren Ye tried to disperse the floods with the Human Emperor Seal, but the rain continued and the Heavenly Dao’s rules went silent as disaster struck Qingliang Prefecture.
• Wu Yazi traced the spreading plague to Gu Poison on drowned breeding sheep, and Ren Ye traveled south to find the coachman who had delivered them.
• Little Bat helped Ren Ye track Zhang Changshou, whose final message named Song Yi as the man who had ordered the sick sheep added to the convoy.
• Gang Leader Qin’s men ambushed Ren Ye’s party, but Yan Bo and Thousand-Mile Green Battalion reinforcements arrived and captured Song Yi, who exposed a link to Guanfeng Young Master and Immortality Mountain Manor.
• Ren Ye followed Song Xing’s trail to Funan County, where he learned that Song Xing and his attackers had pursued Daoist Fenglin and Er Leng toward Immortality Mountain.
• Ren Ye concluded that Guanfeng Young Master had used the floods and plague to devastate Qingliang Prefecture, then secured Yan Bo’s support and entered the evolved Immortality Mountain Star Gate with a guide.
• Wu Yuanjun ordered the Earth Dragon Army to prepare for war and tasked the Six Gentlemen, including Ren Ye, with investigating Niu Xi at Crouching Tiger Temple and bringing him back alive if he was a traitor.

Ren Ye and the Six Gentlemen infiltrated Crouching Tiger Temple, captured Niu Xi, and uncovered his betrayal of Wu Yuanjun. Ren Ye obtained the Thousand Poisons Manual, but his attempt to frame the adult Guan Feng left Ghost-Headed Saber imprisoned and at risk of execution.

• Ren Ye and Big Fat Dragon found evidence linking Huang Hermit to Rat Lord, then infiltrated Crouching Tiger Temple and discovered letters proving Niu Xi had pledged loyalty to the emperor.
• Ren Ye and Big Fat Dragon clashed with Rat Lord in Niu Xi’s bedroom, while the Six Gentlemen launched their attack and captured Niu Xi after Zhaliteng died protecting him.
• Wu Yuanjun imprisoned Niu Xi after hearing his reasons for turning against him, and Ren Ye won Wu Yuanjun’s trust by presenting the group’s efforts and offering to serve or retire according to his decision.
• Ren Ye learned that Niu Xi had given Jing'er the Thousand Poisons Manual, sneaked into the boy’s room, took the book, and injured him before a masked thief arrived.

Ren Ye led the Six Gentlemen through the Spirit-Communicating Tunnel, uncovered the linked terracotta-figurine challenge, and earned Wu Yuanjun’s trust while confronting Ghost-Headed Saber’s betrayal. The arc ended as the Witch Lord prepared a campaign against the Imperial Court, with General Feng revealing that the apparent war was cover for a massacre.

• Ghost-Headed Saber warned Wu Yuanjun about a plot to burn Funan County’s granary, but Wu Yuanjun suspected him and assigned Ren Ye to lead the Six Gentlemen while keeping the others under observation.
• Ren Ye manipulated the assignment draw and led his companions into the Spirit-Communicating Tunnel, where Big Fat Dragon was left to face the Witch Spirit Ghost Child’s life-or-death games.
