"Gurgle... sizzle..."
Under Aldrich's horrified gaze, the monster rolled in the bloody water.
It was drenched, its fur matted together with all sorts of fluids. It had a pointed muzzle, upright ears, and scarlet eyes.
It was a fox!
Below its head, however, was not a fox's body, but tentacles like an octopus's, one after another-eighteen in total.
"I... gave birth to a monster that's part fox and part octopus."
Aldrich's legs went weak with fright. Now that he had seen his own "offspring," his face turned livid, as though he had swallowed two flies.
Whoosh!
While Aldrich was still reeling, seven or eight of the bizarre fox's tentacles shot straight toward him.
At the tip of each slippery tentacle was a mouth full of sharp teeth. They struck in an instant, radiating a frenzied menace.
Xu Ye's expression turned serious. He pulled Aldrich back and opened the Big Black Umbrella, shielding him.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Attack after attack struck the umbrella's canopy with dull thuds.
Xu Ye glanced down at his footprints. The creature's blows were powerful enough to drive him back several steps.
This won't do. I have to deal with it quickly. Any later, and I probably won't be able to save the people inside, Xu Ye thought.
"Don't! Let them all mutate, and then we can suck, suck, suck!" the Bandit Lord said excitedly. "Pollution on this scale is a rare opportunity! A lot of aberrations can only pollute a small group of people. Isn't this a chance for a feast?"
Xu Ye ignored the Bandit Lord.
With a flick of his wrist, the black umbrella instantly became the Black Blade. He paused for half a breath, then accelerated and charged.
