An autopsy?
A strange look crossed Xu Ye's eyes.
Wasn't I just an ordinary doctor? Since when had I become famous enough to perform autopsies? I'm not a forensic examiner!
But she was an old acquaintance, and Sister Chen Yu's husband had died saving him.
"Tell me the details," Xu Ye said calmly, looking straight into Chen Yu's eyes.
Chen Yu explained briefly, "My husband's uncle died suddenly a few days ago. I suspect it wasn't a natural death, but I can't get access to his body. He was a businessman who lived in District 2, and there's a large sum of money involved. I was hoping you could help me take a look, Doctor Xu..."
She hesitated, as though there was something she found difficult to discuss.
No wonder... so that's why Sister Chen Yu is living somewhere like this. The relative she'd gone to for support died, leaving her with nowhere else to go.
Xu Ye nodded and turned to Lü Xiao Dao. "President, I can take this job. But have you agreed on a price? I don't think it should cost too much just to examine a body."
He knew Chen Yu and her daughter were struggling, so he deliberately tried to bring the price down.
"We have." Just then, Zhong Little Hua, who had been quiet all along, suddenly spoke up with a smile. "My mom made your president some egg fried rice, with two eggs. It cost five Federation Currency in total, and your president agreed."
Five Federation Currency...
You sold me off that cheap?
I thought it'd be at least fifty Federation Currency.
Lü Xiao Dao flushed. He had no idea what had come over him either. Zhong Little Hua had kept chatting with him that day, and somehow, in a daze, he'd agreed.
