After the Lord of Darkfall’s projection appeared over Night Spirit City, Count An Lu attacked Li Yunyao and took her unconscious, but Xu Ye rescued her. Xu Ye fled with her, intending to reach the Land of Exiles and seek help from Duke Aldrich.

• Li Yunyao realized the Ninth Squad had died and broke down in grief while Anderson and Lu Mingwang tried to understand what had happened.
• Count An Lu revealed his allegiance to the Eternal Church, used a blood vessel to poison Li Yunyao, and immobilized Anderson and Lu Mingwang with a six of hearts card.
• Xu Ye pulled Li Yunyao away from Count An Lu with his tentacles, but An Lu escaped by merging into the ground.
• The Bandit Lord warned Xu Ye that Li Yunyao needed an Awakened with the right detoxification sequence to wake her and urged him to flee Sky City’s territory.
• Xu Ye carried Li Yunyao away through the crowd and decided to seek Duke Aldrich’s help on the way to the Land of Exiles.
