The two of them had been walking for quite a while, and the monsters had reached levels 25-26. There were barely any players here. Just then, Wu Shaozhen spotted someone fighting a level 26 Lion-Tiger Beast alone. She moved with incredible speed and agility, bow in hand, each arrow dealing nearly three thousand damage to the beast. What shocked Wu Shaozhen most was that almost every arrow scored a critical hit.

A talent that gives a 100% critical hit rate? Wu Shaozhen wondered. Paired with the archer class, a talent like that would make her a damage-dealing machine. Envy burned in him as he watched. Damn, if only my talent could trigger on ranged attacks. I could switch to an archer and farm monsters without taking damage. Then I wouldn't have to waste attribute points on bone root.

Wu Shaozhen watched for a while. Judging by her silhouette, she was a woman. He couldn't tell what she looked like from this distance, but she seemed to have a nice figure. He opened the rankings and glanced at Yu Fei, the level 22 archer in third place. Is that her?

Very few players could solo level 26 monsters at this stage, and there were only two archers in the top ten. The other one, Jun Lin, was clearly a man, though it was also possible that this player wasn't in the top ten at all.

She spotted Wu Shaozhen and Wu Ziyin just then, and her movements grew wary. She gradually lured the Lion-Tiger Beast backward, away from them. Killing other players for their loot was commonplace during encounters in the wilderness.

Wu Shaozhen rubbed his nose. "I don't look like a bad guy, do I?" To avoid unnecessary trouble, he led Wu Ziyin deeper into the area in another direction.
