Ch. 141The seal is broken

Wu Shaozhen slaughtered World-Proud Heroes, cleared the Jadeglow Secret Realm, and searched for stronger monsters. A broken seal unleashed demon beasts that would attack Jinling City in two hours, forcing players to prepare for a server-wide defense quest.

  • World-Proud Under Heaven told his guild to avoid Wu Shaozhen while he investigated how his men had vanished.
  • Wu Shaozhen cleared the Jadeglow Secret Realm in under five minutes and sold the dropped gear to Turbulent Times Hero for 820,000.
  • Wu Shaozhen set out to find monsters above level 43, but a server-wide announcement reported that Fangdang Buji had broken the Demon Realm seal in Tiger Roar Forest.
  • The system announced a Jinling City defense quest with double experience and drops, warning that failure would cost affiliated players three levels and their main city.
  • Players across the server reacted to the threat and rewards, while players from other main cities hurried to the Teleportation Arrays.

Wu Shaozhen prepared for the server-wide quest and encountered a woman fleeing a level 45 Dark Gold unicorn boss. He killed the boss with ease, obtained an S-rank unicorn mount, and rode away on Big White.

  • Zi You told Wu Shaozhen that the newly opened passage led only to an exile land and warned that the Demon Race might hunt him because of their contract.
  • The Teleportation Arrays opened between the main cities, and players paid one gold coin to travel to crowded Jinling City for the double-reward event.
  • Wu Shaozhen headed into the forest to improve his talent before the event and encountered a veiled woman being chased by a level 45 Dark Gold unicorn.

  • Wu Shaozhen looted an S-rank unicorn Summoning Token, named the mount Big White, and rode off at high speed.

Ch. 143Monster Siege

  • Wu Shaozhen killed 2,420 level 45 Unicorns, reached level 39, and raised his talent's poison damage to 6,630.
  • After the system warned that Demon Beasts would attack Jinling City, Wu Shaozhen teleported outside the city and joined the gathered players.
  • Wu Shaozhen inspected a level 25 Ogre and saw that it had high stats, lifesteal, and a skill that boosted its strength by devouring corpses.
  • As the Ogres overwhelmed the disorganized frontline, Wu Shaozhen used Eightfold Unity twice to poison hundreds of them and gain over 400,000 experience.
  • Wu Shaozhen watched Ogres grow stronger after eating fallen companions, then noticed that the newly strengthened beasts were taking poison damage.

Ch. 144Demonflame Two-Headed Hound

  • Wu Shaozhen discovered that his poison could spread to Ogres that devoured poisoned corpses, then used the effect to slaughter monsters at high speed.
  • Jinling City's guilds organized players against the Ogres, while deaths and teleport costs caused the ranks of players from other cities to thin.
  • After two hours, Dustseal led the kill leaderboard with 16,842 kills, and Wu Shaozhen reached Lv. 40 as only a few hundred Ogres remained.
  • Demonflame Two-Headed Hounds charged in, and Wu Shaozhen inspected one to learn its area attacks and stats.

  • The players’ first attack on the Rending Tiger Demons collapsed after Wu Shaozhen discovered their damage reflection and the guild leaders repositioned their forces.
  • Wu Shaozhen removed his attack equipment and used his Newbie Wooden Sword to poison the Rending Tiger Demons without killing himself through reflected damage.
  • More than a dozen old men sealed the passage in Tiger Roar Forest and worried that a powerful demon might have escaped.
  • As the player force dwindled, Wu Shaozhen continued fighting while a horned man watched the battle and then fled.
  • Zi You sensed an aura from the high-ranking demon race and resolved to warn Wu Shaozhen later.

Ch. 147The strongest level 25 monsters

  • Players gradually reduced the Demon Beast forces until cries for help reported that the north gate had fallen.
  • Wu Shaozhen flew from the east gate to the north and used Insight to inspect the three Ogres, whose immense stats and plague explained the breach.
  • The Ogres spread plague through the city, killed players rapidly, and took only one damage from their attacks.
