In the pitch-black stairwell, the group climbed by the light of their phones.
On the way up, Jiang Chen noticed black mold covering the walls beside them. The white plaster had peeled away in irregular patches, making the place look as though it had been abandoned for decades.
That was far from normal. Everyone had evacuated Sunward Middle School less than six months ago. At most, there should have been a little dust.
"The walls are damp. There are even water droplets in places, and the whole dormitory building reeks of a strong water stench. What else happened here?"
A trace of puzzlement showed in Jiang Chen's eyes.
He had read the information on the Girls' Dormitory, but the problem was that none of the incidents here had much to do with water.
"I don't know if it's because the air is too damp, but breathing has felt much harder since I entered this building." Chen Xue took out a talisman and held it between her fingers, scanning their surroundings warily.
The higher she climbed, the harder her heart pounded. She had a bad feeling.
"Besides what the information mentioned, something else must have happened here. The Girls' Dormitory is probably no less terrifying overall than the classroom building!" Yang Chan analyzed in a grave voice.
She was an Unusual Person approaching D+, yet as she walked up the stairs, she occasionally felt someone watching her, sending chills down her spine.
If she hadn't seen a rookie like Jiang Chen leading the way, making it too embarrassing for her to back out, Yang Chan would have turned around and left long ago.
"Chen Xue, check the school records. See if there are any signs of other horrific incidents in the Girls' Dormitory besides the Cursed Note and Room 444."
