The Chen Family specializes in the Talismans Way and has ties to Maoshan. Despite her family backing, Chen Xue describes herself as only second or third tier among its younger generation. The more talented Chen Xiaoyu is her younger cousin, but the two are not close 44.

Chen Xue has already graduated by the time she meets Jiang Chen. She considers herself his senior and tries to cultivate a connection with him after recognizing his unusual strength 13 42.

She combines professional competence with confidence in her family’s standing. She questions residents using official credentials, warns Jiang Chen about dangerous ghosts, and intervenes when a Black Market seller tries to pass off a fake weapon. She enjoys adopting a protective “big sister” role toward him 9 10 43.

Her playful side includes teasing and an enthusiasm for gossip. An attempt to embarrass Jiang Chen outside his university backfires and leaves her flustered.
