Teacher seemed strange today.
Whenever something seemed off, there was usually a catch. Teacher was so eager to send him after this Hollow that something was probably wrong.
Aizen was young, but he was sharp. After leaving his teacher's office, he did not immediately set out to hunt Batman. Instead, he quietly questioned the other staff officers in the Staff Department.
"Hello. Is there anything unusual about the Hollow in this report? When did the report come in? Why did Teacher specifically assign me to hunt it?" Aizen asked softly.
The man he asked looked just as baffled. Scratching his head, he replied, "The intelligence came in this afternoon. It should be a Menos Grande. Sending you after it alone... I'm not sure that's wise. Want me to call for backup?"
"A Menos Grande?" Aizen knew his own strength well. He had an excellent chance against one. As long as it saw Kyōka Suigetsu, it would become his plaything, to do with as he pleased.
"I see..." Aizen still felt something was off, but this was his teacher's order. He could not openly defy it.
To guard against surprises, Aizen packed every drug he had made recently: a high-purity anesthetic, the Torture Drug that heightened his senses, and a hemostatic agent he had learned to make the night before.
Healing Kidō consumed Reiatsu. He brought the hemostatic agent in case he ran out of Reiatsu and could no longer treat a wound, leaving him to bleed to death.
He also brought the Kidō Bullets he had made the night before. They contained only low-level Kidō, but they would be more than enough to slow a Menos Grande.
With Kyōka Suigetsu as well, Aizen was completely confident.
After saying goodbye to his teacher, Aizen set off alone on the hunt.
