And so Huo Ying began her work as captain.
Three or four days passed without any major mistakes. That was good enough for the captain of a combat division. Yamabuki Chidori had never expected much else from those battle maniacs.
Then came the fifth day.
The 11th Division had the least paperwork of any division. Yamabuki Chidori had also anticipated this situation, so he had set up a small team within the division to handle administrative work.
After getting up that morning, Aizen went to his teacher's office. Finding that his teacher had skipped work as usual and gone off somewhere to have fun, he could only sigh and head to the 11th Division.
For someone as brilliant as Aizen, administrative work was a breeze. He soon became Huo Ying's most capable assistant.
"Aizen? Come here. I have something for you to do." Huo Ying beckoned to him.
Aizen still played the part of a cheerful, easygoing young man, and he was quite popular in the 11th Division.
"Captain, did you need something?" Aizen asked.
Huo Ying handed him a scroll. "Yamabuki asked me to give you this morning. He said he might be away for a few days, so you'll have to handle your training on your own."
Aizen took the scroll and saw that it contained a mission.
Has Teacher given me another strange assignment? Curious, Aizen opened it. Sure enough, it was a mission to hunt down a target.
"Did Teacher say anything else?" Aizen asked.
Knowing his teacher, the target was bound to be someone exceptionally difficult.
"He didn't say a thing. He gave me the scroll and left," Huo Ying said.
Aizen scanned the mission, but quickly noticed something was wrong.
Every target he had been sent after before had been a Hollow.
This time,
