"May I ask where your escaped companion went?" Aizen wore a gentle smile, but to the Quincies, he looked like a smiling devil.

During their months in captivity, Aizen had performed all kinds of experiments on them. Many had been agonizing.

They could not understand how an eleven- or twelve-year-old child could be so cruel.

When Aizen asked where their companion had gone, they all kept their mouths shut.

"Why should we believe you?"

"You don't have to. Refuse to cooperate, and you'll die right now. Why not gamble on a fifty-percent chance and see whether I'm lying?" Aizen narrowed his eyes.

The two Quincies exchanged a glance. In an instant, former allies became rivals.
