"All right, leave this to me. I'll go take a look." Yamabuki Chidori hurried to the scene.
The other teachers greeted Yamabuki Chidori with respectful expressions.
Most of the students from noble families recognized him, too. Their eyes shone with admiration. He had kept Soul Society in check single-handedly for eight hundred years. None of them had expected to meet someone like him on their first day.
The students from commoner families, however, had no idea who the young man was.
Sajin Komamura looked at Yamabuki Chidori with excitement in his eyes. He had decided to become a Soul Reaper because of Yamabuki Chidori. That was why he had left the mountains to explore the outside world.
He had never imagined the outside world could be so wonderful.
People were often frightened by his appearance, but that had not stopped Sajin Komamura from loving the world.
"Hmm... Judging by your appearance, you must be the little wolf I met in the mountains behind the academy. It's been so many years. Did you like the treats I gave you back then?" Yamabuki Chidori asked with a smile.
Sajin Komamura grew even more excited. "You still remember that..."
"Of course I do. I just didn't expect you to actually apply to become a Soul Reaper. But this might be a chance to improve relations between Soul Reapers and the Werewolf Clan," Yamabuki Chidori said.
A hint of loneliness crossed Sajin Komamura's face. "I'm afraid I'll disappoint you on that front. To leave the mountains, I cut ties with the Werewolf Clan... My great-grandfather ordered that I never return."
"What a stubborn old man." Yamabuki Chidori gave a rueful smile. "That doesn't matter. I've always believed education should be open to everyone. As long as you meet the requirements, you can study at
