Yamabuki Chidori and Saitō Fubōfu followed a lead to a renowned exorcist in Kyoto, where Chidori discovered the young lady was a Quincy. He claimed to be one as well and asked her where to find His Majesty’s palace, leaving her suspicious.

  • Yamabuki Chidori expelled the evil spirit possessing a nobleman's daughter, then learned that an out-of-town exorcist had recently arrived in Kyoto.
  • Yamabuki Chidori persuaded Saitō Fubōfu to pretend to be possessed so they could visit the exorcist, and they bribed the estate guards to let them in.
  • The young lady accepted their jewels, recognized that Saitō Fubōfu was not possessed, and ordered them to leave.

Yamabuki Chidori and Saitō Fubōfu captured the Quincy Ishida Oboro and tortured her for information, learning that Yhwach had fallen into a coma. As Oboro began to reveal the Quincy’s main fighting force, a Quincy named Bard attacked and interrupted the interrogation.

  • The Quincy Ishida Oboro exposed Yamabuki Chidori and Saitō Fubōfu as Shinigami, but Saitō defeated her and the pair captured her alive.
