The name sounded impressive, but Otherworldly Slash was essentially an oversized Space Severance.
An instant later, the purple light collided with Otherworldly Slash. Two immense surges of Reiatsu erupted in a blinding flash.

Otherworldly Slash cleaved the purple light straight down the middle. Its two halves struck separate mountains nearby.
The mountains did not explode. Something far more unsettling happened instead: the purple light silently melted the mountainsides with its deadly poison.
Of course, Sakurane Saizo was not strong enough to reshape the entire landscape. Only the mountains' surfaces melted, but even that was terrifying.
At the same time, Otherworldly Slash cut Demon Eye Poison Dragon in two. The enormous serpent corpse fell from the sky, and Sakurane Saizo escaped being crushed only because he ran fast.
Without his Zanpakuto, Sakurane Saizo had lost the power to fight Yamabuki Chidori. He sensed trouble and turned to flee, but how could he get away now?
Yamabuki Chidori appeared before Sakurane Saizo like a ghost and seized him by the throat.
"Old man, do you give up?" Yamabuki Chidori rapped him hard on the head with the hilt of his sword.
"No!" Sakurane Saizo was stubborn to the bone. Even in enemy hands, he refused to yield.
Yamabuki Chidori rapped him on the head again. "Do you give up?"
"No!"
Oh, I love a stubborn one!
Yamabuki Chidori sheathed his sword, raised his fists, and gave the old man a thorough beating.
"Stop hitting me! These old bones can't take it! Haven't you heard of respecting your elders? Stop!"
"Then do you give up?"
"No."
"Then the beating continues!"
