A dozen seconds later, Ye Lin and An Ke were the first to rush into the Dining Room, with Li Tianyang close behind. A flash of white light followed as Zhang Tie, the slowest of them, used Protection and arrived with He Zheng.
After shutting the door again, Zhang Tie leaned against it, panting heavily, and glanced behind him with lingering fear.
That was close. The ghost outside didn't seem to have any special abilities-it could only destroy the Main Hall.
Judging by the sounds, the ghost hadn't pursued them after smashing through the Side Hall.
Otherwise, he really wouldn't have known where else they could hide.
Before Zhang Tie could turn toward the others and say anything,
Li Tianyang suddenly stared at him in horror, his voice trembling:
"Zhang Tie... don't turn your head..."
"Don't turn your head...!"
Inside the Dining Room, the other three went pale and backed away in unison, as though they didn't dare come anywhere near Zhang Tie. Their expressions were utterly grim.
Zhang Tie froze, his head turned sideways and his back to the three of them. He had no idea what Li Tianyang-no, what everyone-was afraid of!
"Lin... is there... is there something on me?!"
Zhang Tie gulped, swallowing dryly, and didn't dare move a muscle.
With his head still turned, he could only see out the window. He couldn't see anything behind him.
"It's not on you..."
Ye Lin drew a deep breath and clenched the sword in his hand, speaking one word at a time:
"It's He Zheng."
"Don't turn your head. Close your eyes and face the wall on your right, then back toward us, little by little."
He didn't describe what they had seen.
Without knowing the triggering rule, none of them dared casually put what they had seen
