Huang Liang proposed using the Dyson Sphere as a lampshade to lure the Star God Demons away, and Ye Lin led the effort to activate it through quantum communication. As the others prepared weapons and Huang Liang stayed behind to manage Zhuanxu, the Star Voyager slowed and its estimated impact time shifted to 17 or 23 minutes.
Ye Lin and the others activated the Dyson Sphere to lure the Star God Demons away and prepare to escape, while Ye Lin remained suspicious of the Star Voyager’s slowed approach. As the Dyson Sphere opened, the demons surged toward the gap as a unified superorganism, and Transcendence progress climbed to 97.2%.
Ye Lin and his allies tried to clear the starry sky around the Dyson Sphere so they could launch, but waves of Star God Demons refilled the opening. With no time to clear them all, Ye Lin ordered Huang Liang to open a third of the Sun while the group prepared to stop the approaching Star Voyager; An Ke suddenly sensed a terrifying new threat.
The real Star Voyager emerged inside the City of the Other Shore and overwhelmed Ye Lin with attacks that left him near death. As He Zheng tried to intervene, the Star Voyager evaded his cannon fire and reassembled, leaving the group with no apparent way to save Ye Lin.
Ye Lin was trapped in the Star Voyager’s grip, and An Ke sacrificed herself to give He Zheng a chance to fire the Magnetic-Flow Cannon. The cannon struck the Star Voyager after it killed An Ke, and He Zheng dragged Ye Lin away as they fled.
He Zheng fled with the nearly unconscious Ye Lin as the Star Voyager broke free and pursued them through the passages. Though the Shielding Crystal hid their location, Ye Lin was being drained of life, and the Star Voyager’s spreading particles were closing in.
As the Star Voyager closes in and the system exposes their location, Ye Lin and He Zheng are trapped between it and the Energy-Absorbing Monsters, while Huang Liang admits he intended to use them as bait. He Zheng sacrifices himself so Ye Lin can survive, leaving Ye Lin restored but grieving over his friend’s body.
Ye Lin reached the required transcendence progress as Huang Liang sacrificed himself to ignite Jupiter and give him a way to survive. The system announced the Soul Peace Team had met the boarding requirements and ordered them to leave the examination as Ye Lin escaped the Star Voyager’s attack.
Aroro faced a choice between escaping, killing the helpless Ye Lin for points, and risking his life to rescue him as the Starshatterers approached. He chose to save Ye Lin and led two goblins out of the starship, leaving their fate uncertain.
Aroro and two Goblins carried the gravely injured Ye Lin toward the Starship while the Star Voyager pursued them. Ye Lin awakened just in time to teleport them aboard, where the system confirmed an S-Rank survival clear and beyond-limit rewards as the Star Voyager struck the barrier.
Ye Lin escaped the Star Voyager aboard a Starship and vowed to kill it. He crushed the Control Core, triggering the Celestial Body Cataclysm and forcing all examinees to leave as a vast creature emerged from the Sun and the Energy-Absorbing Monsters attacked the Star Voyager.
Lin Yu and Green Dragon discussed Ye Lin’s survival and his prospects with the Patrollers, then realized he had destroyed the Control Core to target the Star Voyager. Ye Lin was teleported out of the examination as the Star Voyager’s vast Mothership and its captive population waited at the edge of the Solar System.
After returning from the exam, Ye Lin discovered that the perfected one prototype was causing mental collapse, and he rejected a repair that would erase its abilities. He found that raising his willpower might solve the problem, then learned he had nearly 600 points and an S-Rank reward from being hunted by three teams, rewards he believed came from the deaths of An Ke and the others.
After He Zheng, An Ke, and Huang Liang died, Ye Lin sought a way to resurrect them, but the system rejected his query as classified. Aroro contacted him to express the Red Star Goblins’ gratitude and asked whether Ye Lin wanted to resurrect them.
Ye Lin learned from Aroro that people had returned from the dead in the War Zone and suspected the Patrollers knew how resurrection worked. Aroro warned that resurrection came at a price and that teams connected to it later died suspiciously, leaving Ye Lin to weigh seeking answers from the dangerous Patrollers.
Ye Lin urged Aroro to spend his points strengthening himself instead of sending them back to the starving goblins, arguing that surviving longer could save more of his people. After their call ended, Aroro stood silently by the campfire, looking as though he had seen another version of himself.
Ye Lin used his Level One privilege to ask the system about the Ye Lin buried in the tomb and learned that the man was not him, but the rest of his identity exceeded the system’s limits. As he considered seeking answers from the organization or the Military, an unknown party offered him a cross-network communication.
Ye Lin spoke with Loren, the Patroller, who offered to make him a vassal and explained why the Starshatterer Alliance would keep targeting him. Loren warned that Ye Lin had mastered no energy and would definitely die in the seventh exam if he enhanced himself to Grade A.
Ye Lin learned from the Patroller that he lacked psionic energy and relied on borrowed abilities, leaving him dangerously weak despite his progress. The Patroller warned that his dynamically adjusted examinations would demand far more than he had achieved, though other paths to survival existed.
Loren explained that Ye Lin and his teammates needed to take makeup examinations and push through more exams to survive the stronger opponents waiting after the seventh. Ye Lin asked how to resurrect his teammates, and Loren warned that the price might be more than he could bear.
Ye Lin pressed the Patroller for a way to resurrect He Zheng and the others, learning that the two conventional methods could not truly restore the dead. He realized the Patroller had been leading him toward another method, and the Patroller revealed that he wanted Ye Lin’s corpse.
Loren explained that Ye Lin could use the Eternal Page’s Projection ability and a special item to resurrect the dead, but warned that if they died again, Ye Lin would lose every memory and feeling connected to them. After considering the price, Ye Lin chose to proceed and asked how to obtain the fusion item.
Ye Lin questioned Loren about obtaining a Fusion item and the power of the fourth tier, but Loren pressured him to become a Patroller vassal and warned that many factions were hunting him. Ye Lin refused to surrender his freedom and searched for another way to survive as Loren forced him to choose between vassalage and death.
Ye Lin resisted Loren’s demand to become his vassal and deduced that Loren wanted him as a memoryless vessel. Loren concealed his shock and asked Ye Lin to state his terms.
Ye Lin negotiated with Loren for protection, power, and a chance to revive his teammates, but Loren refused to grant most of his demands. Ye Lin signed a contract tying his corpse to the Patrollers in exchange for entry to the Starfield Battlefield and their protection, then returned to the Death Exam Space determined to grow stronger.
