Power Progression
The following are documented attainments of Immortal Emperor power. Earlier references to an “Emperor” do not necessarily indicate this completed realm.
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Immortal Emperor-level Dao Body — Lin Yue | 208 | His Dao Body withstands the Corpse Immortal Emperor’s sword without injury. Lin Yue and Shi Hao surpass Quasi-Immortal Emperors, but still cannot fully wield Immortal Emperor authority. |
| Completed Immortal Emperor transformation — Lin Yue | 218 | His own time gathers into himself; past, present, and future converge within a thought. He subsequently revives Xuan Chuan. |
| Immortal Emperor — Shi Hao | 218 | Appears as a newly ascended Immortal Emperor when meeting Lin Yue after the latter’s completed transformation. |
| Immortal Emperor — Willow Deity | 222 | Explicitly manifests as a supreme Immortal Emperor, restores ruined realms of The Heavens, and confronts the Weird Clan’s presiding sacrificer. |
| Immortal Emperor — Thunder Emperor Xiao | 241 242 | Transforms within a thunder-source secret realm, then manifests supreme Thunder Dao power and prevents an enemy Immortal Emperor from crossing his Thunder Pool. |
| Path’s End / Supreme Immortal Emperor Taisu — Shu Yi | 277 | Awakens after hundreds of thousands of years as his elemental Dao assimilates all things; his attainment ushers in the Double Emperor Era. |
| Immortal Emperor — Ten-Crown King, also called Son of Heaven | 281 286 | Devours the eternal tree that had become a shackle on his Dao fruit and attains supreme authority. His Immortal Emperor standing is subsequently explicit. |
| Immortal Emperor — Ye Fan, Wu Shi, and Ruthless | 291 | Their completed attainment is confirmed retrospectively. They entered the supreme domain three hundred thousand years before this chapter’s later events. |
Realm and Terminology
Beyond Quasi-Immortal Emperor
- Quasi-Immortal Emperors possess authority, sufficient to influence time and alter ancient history, but are not yet supreme across the Myriad Heavens 280.
- Immortal Emperors gather every temporal trace of themselves into a singular existence across all worlds—something Quasi-Immortal Emperors cannot complete 282 285.
- The difference is qualitative, not merely greater strength. Entering the Immortal Emperor domain grants supreme authority over timelines and ancient history 292.
- The threshold is exceptionally difficult to cross. Exiled Immortal remains unable to ascend after five hundred thousand years, despite approaching Path’s End 283 291.
Imperial Titles Are Not Proof of Attainment
- Thunder Emperor received the name “Emperor” before entering the King Realm 103.
- Shi Hao was called a Heavenly Emperor while still cultivating below the Immortal King realm 139 145.
- Willow Deity’s earlier Emperor emergence and Shi Hao’s earlier Emperor breakthrough precede their explicit Immortal Emperor attainments; the Darkness Ancient Land war identifies its combatants as Quasi-Immortal Emperors 190 193 197.
Beyond Path’s End
- Sacrificial Dao is described as sublimation at an Immortal Emperor’s path’s end. A further step would transcend concepts and achieve complete transcendence 256.
- Ordinarily, supreme cultivators advance step by step through Immortal Emperor before ascending beyond Path’s End. Some Eerie Race beings instead receive Sacrificial Dao authority through a process they initially struggle to understand 278.
- In the final Plateau invasion, four Sacrificial Dao beings confront the Ancestors while more than a dozen Immortal Emperors fight the opposing emperor forces 293.
Abilities & Authority
Temporal Singularity
An Immortal Emperor’s personal timelines converge into one existence 206 227.
- Past, present, and future can gather within a single thought; Lin Yue experiences the worlds’ spacetime as a scroll he can reshape 218.
- An Immortal Emperor can wield the realm’s power wherever they manifest 233.
- Ordinary age becomes an inadequate measure: wherever a Supreme’s traces reach becomes part of their ancient history 274.
Perception of Ancient History
Their awareness extends across ages and intertwined karma 206.
- Very little ancient history can distort their awareness after their personal timelines fully converge 206.
- They can discern karmic connections, although changing traces of bygone years remains difficult 206.
- This perception is not unlimited: even Immortal Emperors cannot glimpse the Plateau’s entirety or fully comprehend its existence 236.
Conceptual Existence and Dao Authority
Immortal Emperors are described as concept-like beings whose existence approaches the end of laws 256 287.
- Their power transcends laws and stands above all worlds, with their standing described as shoulder to shoulder with the Dao 201.
- At this level, transcendent laws elevate secret techniques into Immortal Emperor arts 208.
- Supreme power is expressed through individual paths: Willow Deity’s Divine Path, Thunder Emperor’s Thunder Dao, and Son of Heaven’s eternal will produce distinct applications 242 283 286.
Restoration and Return from Reincarnation
Immortal Emperor authority can restore worlds and guide living beings out of reincarnation 201 222 288.
- Willow Deity restores ruined Great Realms, awakens their slumbering consciousnesses, and returns vitality to The Heavens 222.
- Fallen Dao Ancestors return after a Supreme reflects them back from reincarnation 276.
- A supreme Immortal Emperor restores the Heavenly Court’s fallen cultivators by reflecting ancient history, even after some had lost their Primordial Spirits and imprints 288.
Combat Across the Ages
Their battles affect ancient history rather than only the immediate battlefield 226 287.
- The Corpse Immortal Emperor’s sword severs reincarnation shackles, annihilates the River of Time, and extinguishes karmic backlash 208.
- Willow Deity grasps time and plucks down the Sea of Time while shattering an enemy Emperor Body 223.
- Immortal Emperor clashes can overturn The Heavens’ spacetime. Even its vast will evades their strikes 223.
- Ordinary Great Realms cannot withstand their full power; supreme battles consequently move far from inhabited worlds 287.
Limits, Death, and Resurrection
- Immortal Emperors can be killed. They are difficult to destroy, but true annihilation removes them from the world 223.
- Destroying an Emperor Body is not necessarily final. An emperor’s remaining essence can flee after the body shatters 231.
- Plateau-linked resurrection is a special obstacle. The Plateau restores Eerie Immortal Emperors and can greatly shorten their return time 244.
- Severing that connection enables permanent destruction. Shi Hao cuts enemies off from the Plateau; Bai Luo is annihilated so thoroughly that the ancestral land can no longer sense his true spirit 233.
- Repeated returns can strengthen Eerie Supremes. Each resurrection allows them to fuse with more primordial matter 273.
- The realm does not protect against higher powers. The Corpse Immortal Emperor was ambushed by darkness upon first attaining the realm, and the ultimate conflict is decided on the Sacrificial Dao battlefield 208 293.
History and Story Role
The Source of the Dark Calamity
The Corpse Immortal Emperor’s corruption becomes the source of the ancient dark calamities. His Immortal Emperor true patterns also tempt Cang Emperor and the others into darkness in pursuit of supreme attainment 207 210.
Lin Yue and Shi Hao temper themselves against him, suppress his body and Primordial Spirit, and erase his corrupted essence from that ancient history. His warning reveals that the darkness originates beyond their world and can threaten even newly ascended Immortal Emperors 208 209 210.
The Heavens’ Counteroffensive
The Heavens had declined after its supreme protector fell and subsequent Immortal Emperors died. Willow Deity’s manifestation reverses the atmosphere of retreat: fleeing clans return, Dao Ancestors rally, and the forces of The Heavens follow her into battle 222.
Four Immortal Emperors from the Myriad Heavens subsequently support The Heavens. Their alliance plans reconstruction, territorial recovery, expansion into the Myriad Heavens, and surveillance of the Sacrificial Sea 228.
The Plateau War
The annihilation of three Eerie Supreme Immortal Emperors shakes the Plateau and shifts the war toward The Heavens. The alliance later invades the Plateau to recover the Pollen Female Emperor’s remnant spirit, confronting nine visible Immortal Emperor defenders while another remains concealed 233 236.
Further ascensions enlarge the allied supreme forces. In the final invasion, Immortal Emperors gain the advantage on their battlefield, but the outcome still depends on the Sacrificial Dao confrontation at the Plateau’s center 292 293.
