Before Howard could explain himself, they heard a dull thud. It was as though someone had suddenly appeared in the road and been sent flying by their car. Then the vehicle jolted twice, indicating that the tires had rolled right over the person.
In an instant, Su Ming shielded his and Gin's wineglasses, preventing the wine from spilling. As Howard pulled over with a stiff expression, Deathstroke clinked glasses with Gin again. "A toast. Let's congratulate Howard on killing someone."
The crystal glasses chimed sharply together, golden champagne rippling with a halo of light. Gin smiled and nodded at Howard. "Congratulations."
The two villains drained their champagne, both letting out satisfied breaths, as though the champagne had become sweeter after Howard killed someone.
Howard pressed his lips tightly together and stared at them with dead-fish eyes.
"Really? You're congratulating me because I ran someone over? Do you two have any humanity at all?"
Su Ming set down his glass and calmly brushed at his clothes. "That's because you don't know who you hit. Come on, I'll get out and take a look with you."
"No. You're supposed to be dead right now."
Howard unbuckled his seatbelt while refusing. Technology was becoming more advanced by the day, and with satellites over the United States now, Deathstroke might be spotted.
"It's fine. I can just change my appearance." As Su Ming spoke, Strangle flowed over his body, transforming him into someone else within seconds.
His new appearance was that of a tall, solidly built middle-aged man, with slicked-back hair and a handsome black suit. At a glance, he looked like some wealthy young master with generations of family prestige behind him.
Most notably, he had an extremely sexy double chin that made him look utterly charming when he smiled.
