After following Su Ming out of Norway with the child, returning to the United States, using the Spider Web to find a childless family, placing the baby in a basket outside their door in the middle of the night, and leaving, Wade was a little confused.
Su Ming stood on the street, leaning against a lamppost as he lowered his head to light a cigarette. "Do you know my origin story?"
Wade tilted his head and thought about it before shaking his head. He only knew that Deathstroke had been a soldier who survived the Miracle Serum experiment; he knew nothing at all about what had come before.
"You lost your memories, while mine are a mess. Come to think of it, we really were meant to be brothers." Su Ming shook his head and handed Wade a cigarette as well. The two stood by the roadside, watching cars pass by. "After countless cycles, all those memories are tangled together in my head. But they all share one thing in common: I was always an orphan."
Deadpool held his cigarette in one hand and scratched his ass with the other. "Makes sense. That's why you're so dark."
"Being an orphan isn't easy. The most common things in Deathstroke's memories are iron and blood, which is why I keep fighting—for the right for myself and my loved ones to survive. If I hadn't come to this world to regulate my emotions back then, I probably would have completely become a battle maniac by now."
Su Ming exhaled smoke and watched wisps of gray mist drift apart beneath the streetlight.
