If adjusting the sunlight had been a shortcut against Circe's monster army in Maya, that method clearly could no longer be used here. There was no permission.
No one knew how Circe had found this opposite dimension and remade it, but while Deathstroke had returned to Marvel and the Justice League was investigating the Leviathan Event, she clearly had not been idle either.
This was a palace, a ruined palace deep within the rainforest. The surrounding bluish-green monoliths had been carved into heads with enormous ears and eyes, but now they lay tilted and overturned, wrapped in vines and shrubs in the way only plants could.
Not far away, above the rainforest canopy, more circular stone rooftops could be seen scattered across an area of roughly ten miles. They varied in size and height, yet all were covered in climbing vegetation, submerged in a sea of green.
The group stood in a plaza before a palace, a broad, deep pit that lay below ground level and was relatively flat. No one knew who had once lived here, but this spacious courtyard would make a fine battlefield.
"Is this... Skull Stadium?" Bobo ultimately could not overcome a detective's curiosity and had jumped down after them. He was currently hiding behind Zatanna, at the very center of the protective circle. "With this architectural style and these sculptures, I think I know where this is."
Zatanna kept her eyes on Diana, ready to cast magic in support at any moment, yet she still had time to chat with Bobo. "Oh? Don't tell me you think this is Venezuela."
"Look up at the sky." Bobo irritably pointed overhead. The sounds of battle had sent the rainforest creatures flying up; they were monsters resembling pterosaurs. "We're still in a Magic Dimension. This is Kor!"
