Barry clasped his hands behind his back and slowly wandered around. His naturally optimistic temperament had not vanished just because he had fallen into an unknown Timeline. As someone capable of using the Speed Force, returning to the Future would take only an instant.
But that would require him to run himself into a beam of light and merge with the Speed Force Plane, which meant he could not take anyone with him through Time Travel.
