"Guys, we can't keep going on like this. We're burning through our savings."

Wade squeezed himself between Thor and Loki, wrapping an arm around each of them as he spoke earnestly. The old red sofa sank deeply under the weight of all three men.

"Hiss, puff~~~~" Thor took a hard drag from the cigarette rolled in newspaper, his eyes vacant and his expression numb. "It doesn't matter if we have no money. We still have love and peace."

"Thor's right. The world is too complicated. We're venting the bitterness in our hearts. Rock 'n' Roll."

Loki wore an equally dazed expression, a cigarette between his fingers as he kept shaking his head at the television. A little flower was tucked into the long hair by his ear.

The Mercenary slapped his forehead. He had no idea where he had gone wrong.

The three of them were currently in the basement Wade rented with Auntie Blindspot in New York City.

After all, they needed to lie low after blowing up the sanatorium, so he had hidden Thor and Loki here. But hiding out was terribly boring and hard to endure.

Wade had owned a secondhand television, the kind that could barely pick up a few channels with an antenna. Since Aier was blind and did not watch TV anyway, Wade himself only needed it to show children's programs.

For the first few days, Thor and Loki had both been fascinated by the television. But their tastes were clearly different from Wade's. Puppet shows, cartoons, and the news quickly lost their appeal, and the two became restless again, wanting to go out and wander around.
