Su Ming did not know whether Thanos had ever regretted it. Perhaps he had, but now there was no turning back.
Whenever he wanted to give up, Death would appear. Perhaps she would give him a few fragrant kisses, perhaps tease him with words, keeping him forever like a donkey staring at a carrot, circling a millstone.
Over the years, he had likely slaughtered tens of billions of Aliens across the universe, sending their souls to Death's courtyard, yet he still had not met his girlfriend's demands.
He could no longer give up. He had invested too much. What if he quit when he was only one step away?
Maybe tomorrow, maybe next time, the people he killed would be enough to earn her approval?
Thanos could only walk this path into the darkness.
But that was his business. Su Ming could not interfere. Everyone had their own way of living.
At least for now, he did not need to deal with Thanos. This Purple Sweet Potato would still be useful later.
"Didn't Death come with you?"

"She is in her own realm, and always by my side. However, I did bring a friend this time. Or rather, someone insisted on following me."
Thanos reached into the air beside him and pulled a golden man out of thin air, setting him on the ground.
"Adam Warlock, a piece of trash made by humans."
The person called Adam Warlock did not look human at all, but he spoke English fluently and was even familiar with Earth's etiquette.
After being dragged out, he did not panic. He merely grinned and greeted Deathstroke.
"Sorcerer Supreme."
"Adam."
