"What are you doing?" Wade flew over carrying a huge circular metal plate, as if he were wearing a turtle shell backward, or had stolen a moss-covered manhole cover. "Cousin, I opened up a path into its body through the sole of its foot. Are we still going in to wreck things?"
As he spoke, Deadpool glanced into the crimson rift behind the Celestial. Whatever he saw, he shuddered as though he had just finished taking a leak.
"Not yet." Su Ming swung his greatsword at the Celestial's neck, answering amid a shower of sparks. "The Crimson Tyrant is rarely in such a good mood that he comes to help us. We should take advantage and get something out of it. I want this head."
Deadpool sniffled, his white eyes narrowing behind the glass helmet. "Then I'm taking this piece of armor, okay?"
Su Ming glanced at him without slowing his hands. "Take it if you want. But what do you need it for? Making a steel helmet when you get back?"
"To sell for money. Look at this green, isn't it a perfect shade? I'm planning to sell it to Green Goblin so he can make a new glider. He likes anything green." As Wade spoke, he lifted his fishbowl helmet and mask and spat on the armor. Then he wiped it with the sleeve of his uniform, as though waxing the armor so his cousin could admire the metal's sheen.
No one knew how he did it, but even in space, they could hear that squeaky sound like someone wiping glass.
"What happened to the money I gave you last time?"
Su Ming did not care. His cousin had come along on the mission, so he ought to get a share of the spoils.
