From outer space, Earth was always beautiful—at least by human standards. Its blue fluorescence, reflecting sunlight, was stunning. The Sovereign did not see it that way, of course. They preferred planets with golden atmospheres.

The gray moon seemed to leap back beside the three of them once more, returning to its original position, while Earth's dark side once again faced Deathstroke's gaze.

The lights of the cities were visible even from space. Su Ming finally understood why writers so often compared civilization to light. Whether it was firelight, electric lamps, or more advanced forms of illumination, they were undeniably lights belonging to intelligent life itself.

"Are you sure you can handle this?"

Wade pulled a flip phone from his pocket and checked the time. It was just time for his favorite late-night cartoon block to begin in the 40K Main World, but for Cousin's sake, he could skip today's show! He could stay and help, as long as they paid extra. A lot extra.
