An even fiercer battle began once more. Many Shi'ar soldiers even chose Peter, who was singing while holding a leg bone, as their target. In their eyes, that dwarf was simply too evil, actually playing with the corpses of their fellow countrymen.

The kid in the red jacket looked weak, and his expression was panicked, yet he somehow dodged every shot fired at him and kept wailing out his song.

Through the Cosmic Translator, the soldiers understood that the little man was provoking them. He was telling them to come over and receive his love.

So the soldiers intended to "love" Peter properly—by pulling out every bone in his body, to honor the spirits of their fallen comrades.

If their numbers were too small, they would be picked off one by one. Whenever the warriors tried to form up and resist, thick bolts of Thunder would descend from the sky and turn them into charred corpses.

Even so, even without the human dwarf's taunts, Shi'ar warriors would never retreat on the battlefield. Retreat simply did not exist in their tactical system.
