"Jarvis, why didn't you warn me that Deathstroke was here too?"
Tony shifted slightly, hiding the girl behind himself as he shielded her, quietly grumbling to his AI butler.
"Sir, Deathstroke used some technological means to block all surveillance. You could only see him after coming into close contact with him."
Jarvis gave his answer, which Tony found impossible to believe:
"Impossible. How could anyone on Earth surpass me technologically? Besides, he's an antique even older than my dad. What could a primitive like that know about technology? Run a diagnostic immediately. Check whether you've been infected with a computer virus or some kind of Trojan."
Inside the Iron Suit, Tony watched the colorful display shift and flicker before Jarvis spoke. "Diagnostic complete. System normal."
"Run it again." Iron Man set Jessica back down on the bus stop bench, then stood beside her with his hands on his hips. "I'll upgrade your programming when we get back. Maybe there's a problem with the network encryption algorithm."
Seeing that the unconscious Jessica was about to be sent over, Iron Man picked her up again. Peter Parker was anxiously hopping around nearby, and he grabbed Iron Man's arm. "Um, Mr. Stark, can I take my classmate to the hospital first? And these two people..."
Only then did Tony snap out of his tech-obsessed fixation. He coughed, and the golden faceplate of the Iron Suit seemed to redden.
"Uh, it's fine. I know Deathstroke. He's not the kind of guy who blows up buildings because he has nothing better to do. I'll get them to the hospital right away. Jarvis, activate the 'Family Bucket' Protocol. Send the suits here to rescue people."
The so-called Family Bucket Protocol meant remotely flying over every suit stored in Stark Tower under Jarvis's control to get them
